I like the top one better; the bottom one looks as though the color completely faded from the prints.

It's too bad we can't go back in a Delorean to 1977 and see how it originally appeared....

Ha! Actually, we don't need to. MeBeJedi has a copy of the telecine of the original '77 print; perhaps he would be so kind as to post a screenshot here for comparison.

Well of course, Chaltab! We wouldn't use it to go back in time to witness wars, great discoveries, Biblical events, famous people, or to correct mistakes; we could use it to find out what color the explosion of the Blockade Runner in the third shot of Star Wars was in the original release! Why didn't people think of that?

Seriously, it may sound nitpicky, but I'm just unexplicably interested in this particular original shot for restoring the original SW, for one reason or another. I guess it's just irratated me ever since I noticed the big color difference.
