Hacker233, you just have to be patient. I have wanted many of digitalfreak's releases for a long time but I haven't got anything to trade nor enough money (to cover airmail) to justify getting a disc by paying for shipping only. I would help you if I could.

If you read through this thread and find out who has a copy of digitalfreak's Blade Runner, then PM them instead of waiting for someone to PM you, that might prove more fruitful. I'm not being mean here or anything (welcome to the boards after all ), just saying that from my experience on the boards you have better luck asking people directly about discs rather than posting in the forum and waiting for people to contact you.

Having said that, I hope you find someone you can get the disc from.

Does anybody know how I can re-code DigitalFreakNYC's blade runner 2 disc dvd for single layer burner. Also how would I do it, so I can just have the movie without all the extra stuff becuase all I want to do is the movie by it self. Any help would be apreasheated.

Can dvd shrink re-code the dvd so I will just have the movie without the extra stuff and so I will not have that much loss of quialty in the video.

DO NOT RESPOND in my thread any more about this Blade Runner issue.

NO ONE is going to make you a single layer version. if you want a single layer version, BUY THE ORIGINAL DVD.

Stop wasting page after page of this thread begging for a copy. Stop PMing me. Stop emailing me. Just stop.

dude you don't have to be rude and for one thing if you intend on releasing stuff you should expect these types of things especally in a community that trades and makes it's own fan edits for the community. Also I won't bug you again, but since I can'y get A copy I though I do it my self and re-code it, so I can avoide asking. So I might just do it my self. I also am sorry if I came off a certain way and I apolgize. It won't happen again.


keep up the great work DigitalFreakNYC and in the future I hope to avoid this type of situation.

And digitalfreaknyc, I finally finished downloading the Making of Temple of Doom disc and it's fantastic! Thanks for the great release!

First: I read, searching through all the threads on this forum for tidbits, that you are doing a transfer of a 2-hour doc from the E.T. laserdisc (I assume that would include the Harrison Ford scene). Any news on when that might be?

Second: DavisDVD reports that a new Dracula DVD is being worked on at the moment. Doesn't sound (unsurprisingly) like it will include any of the Criterion extras (at least not directly ported) but I figured you'd be interested in hearing about it.

Yup...totally aware of it. it's possible that it might include SOME of the extras as the only thing that's really criterion produced is the commentary. But I'll still be doing my 2 disc edition.

The ET is on tap. I will be working on it. It shouldn't take too long but...I've just been busy dealing with other music projects that aren't for this site.

Also, I just figured I'd point it out, it's totally irrelevant, but has anyone else listened to that live rendition of John Williams' score on the official E.T. DVD? Man, Universal sure pisses me off these days with a lot of stupid decisions (The Jerk DVD is the worst special edition I've EVER seen), but that track is such a brilliant idea and perfect execution.

Hi Digital,
just got the discs today,and have them transfered to my hard drive,i will burn the dual-layer disc tonight,and get back to you ASAP on the comparison,but just a fast glance on the PC,got damn does it look good,i wish the original version was available in this quality,damn its nice,keep up the great work!
also on a side note,what do you use to author your DVD's? i really want to learn how to set the layer-break,you set it in your author program right?

well i just finished burning it and then i ran a CRC error check on it,and all is good,i will run both tomorrow after work it is close to 10 pm now and i have to get up at 4:30 am to go to work,but like i said,damn does it look great,sounds good too,and thanks for the reply on the author software.
too bad the original version cant be found in this quality(the Criterion)I still like the extra violence and the Harrison narration
