Another question on the ABC edit... what's the quality like? Is it regular pan and scan or was it broadcast in OAR in HD? I also would like to to second the run time question... did he add in more deleted scenes that weren't available to you?

- Yep, I finished it that on on May 23rd and the actual runtime is 2:47:41

- It;s pan and scan and I have no idea how it was broadcast in HD (I have a 19" Linytron TV so HD is about 5-6 years away for us)

- I'm not sure what you mean be "did he add in" or "scenes that weren't available to you?"... But if you mean "he" as in Chris Columbus then yes he did add in more scenes and being it was his movie he had a whole lot more avaliable footage then ANY of us - These can be considered the "EXTENTED DIRECTORS CUTS" and there were rumors that they MAY release official and proper Director's Cuts but who knows.

ALSO, as a little FYI - ADM's "edits" are more or less reconstructions of the TV cuts as that is what inspired him to do them.

"ABC Television Extended Edition"

In 2005 television network ABC, presented “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in a four hour telecast (with commercials - NOT on this DVD) that featured the extended version of the film. Director Chris Columbus added the majority of the deleted footage back into the theatrical version of the film to create the ABC television edit. Although this recording of the extended version was broadcast on ABC’s sister station ABC Family in 2006 it features the same edit of the film.

This completely unauthorized fan preservation project was created without the knowledge or consent of either the ABC Network or original copyright holders. Please do not support piracy; you must own the official DVD to protect your license.

i bit more blurry than other laserdisc transfers, but very watchable and enjoyable. yes - from laserdisc.

I own the revised 2004 version of Lucas's "THX 1138" on DVD, but I've always wanted to watch the original unaltered cut, and without an LD player, that's pretty much left me in the dust...until I discovered this wonderful forum. :)

Therefore, I am kindly requesting if anyone could possibly send me a DVD copy of the original version?
