still looking for BLAK0030 "Science of Star Wars: Man and Machines." I have a lot to trade with. If anyone has this one, please PM me. I'm also more than willing to put this one up on RS if I can get a copy.
Can these still be found anywhere? I get the impression they're on MySpleen, but I guess need an invitation to the site.
Even on my spleen they are dead ...
Do you ant an invitation there ?
Can anyone give an update on what is still alive where?
I've been searching on alt.binaries.starwars and regular torrent sites, but I can't find over three or four releases...
AvP2008 (over on tehparadox) doesn't have much left either.
I'm still looking for quite a bunch:
BLAK0002: RETIRED - The Ewok Adventure LD transfer
BLAK0003: RETIRED - The Battle for Endor LD transfer
BLAK0004: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO
BLAK0014: PBS’s The Mythology of Star Wars
(is this the one found on BabyHub's preservation release?)
BLAK0016: The Forgotten Scenes
BLAK0017: The Making of Star Wars 1977 & SP FX: ESB - 1980
BLAK0018: Classic Creatures 1983 & From Star Wars to Jedi 1983
BLAK0021: 60 Minutes "Star Wars Goes to Hell” - 3/13/05
BLAK0027: Encore’s The Directors: The Films of George Lucas 4/3/03
BLAK0028: G4TV’s Filter: Best Star Wars Characters
BLAK0029: E TV’s Behind the Scenes: Revenge of the Sith Special
BLAK0033: Science of Star Wars / Animal Icons: Star Wars Creatures
BLAK0034: AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to George Lucas
BLAK0035: A Tribute to George Lucas from 10th Anniversary Convention 1987
BLAK0036: MTV’s TRL: The Star Wars Special
BLAK0037: G4TV’s Cinematech: Star Wars Cinematech - 5/11/05: Episode #5034
BLAK0040: The Ultimate Star Wars OT Swag DVD - Summer 2005
BLAK0042: PBS’s George Lucas: Heroes, Myths and Magic
BLAK0044: G4TV’s X-Play: 5/23/05: Episode #5052

BLAK0027 was posted to a.b.sw in may. and the 10th anniversary convention disc was posted in June of last year, it's not Rikter version, but it's the version which became Rikter's version.
I've been using Grabit to get to the star wars binaries group, but I keep getting an "article not found" error message on every single file it tries.
Are all of those BLAK's in the a.b.sw offline/gone?

Grabit is the software, the other key is what newsgroup provider/server you are using. They differ in retention (how long they save articles), and that's most likely what's causing your 'article not found' message. This guide ( http://www.slyck.com/Newsgroups_Guide ) has information on different providers. The few ISPs which still have newgroups generally have limited retentions (1 month to 100 days) some of the pay services have close to two years. Some providers has a free trial period, so if you are only after a few discs, that could be something to try. Then if their service agrees with you then you get a full subscription.

Thank you none. I'll try Newsdemon's trial version, since I'm European.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Guys, is here somebody who has either BLAK0002 and BLAK0003 or at least the laserdiscs AND hardware for capturing them ?
I don't have Rik's versions of those flicks, but I have some dupes of the retail VHS versions to DVD that I got at a comic-con a long while back.
I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.
Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.
Hello,
I am not sure if any of you all remember me or not, but I am currently running the website pauley79.com and use to run the site fanedit.com. Anyways, I was was wondering what is require from me to get a copy of the DVD "BLAK0004: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3P0". I use to have a copy of this, but over time it was lost and misplaced. All the moving I have done for the Air Force maybe. Anyways, I was telling my kids about this and wanted to show it to them. I have tried the few torrent sites that i know (piratebay is banned and blocked, where I am stationed at now). Well, I thank you guys and appreciate any help any one can provide.

Is it possible that the art for the Special Wide Star Wars sets Rikter created is still available, I’m trying to identify if I have that set of DVDS.
