Just drag the DL player below the BN spot, and a DL spot should appear.

btw, I have the ability to adjust anyone's roster, so DON'T FUCK WITH ME let me know if it doesn't seem to be working, and I can do it for you.

I'm kind of jealous of you guys with DL players.  Brandon Webb is supposed to go on the DL - he's not going to pitch until at least mid-May.  So what the hell are the Diamondbacks waiting for?  DL his ass, already!

Last reminder, the season starts tonight.  Several of you have DL-eligible players that you can move to DL and pick up free agents.  I also see some empty roster spots, and even a few "NA" players.  "NA" players are usually ones that have been sent to the minors or have been suspended.

Normally I would just shut my mouth and try my best to win the league.  But since we have several newcomers to fantasy, I want to keep things as competitive/interesting as possible.

I will be shaming roster violators in public soon!

Well, violators isn't the right term.  I just mean that several of you could be picking up free agents, and there are some good players available right now.

man, I am not having good luck.  The Season hasn't even started and I 4 players on the DL already.  :(

That is rough, and you only get 3 DL spots.  So you can either drop one of the players, or keep one in a BN spot instead of DL.

Warb, I believe you can still pick up a few players.  Your team page should tell you how many empty roster spots you have.

I could pick up some more players, but they'd be BN spots and once people come off the DL,  I'd have to get rid of someone.

Here's the thing...if you have empty roster spots, there is no penalty for picking someone else up.  You can always drop them later if you want, at no cost to you.  And there's no limits on number of adds/drops you can do.

Look at it this way - you could pick up someone for 2 weeks, that keeps everyone else in the league from picking them up.

so, in stat-tracker it says I am on top w/ 27.5 points, but how is that number calculated?

oh and since I'll probably never be on top again, nah nah nah-nah nah :)

Rip, I'm not sure why stattracker would say you have -16.  There should be no negative points.  Keep in mind that stattracker is unofficial - the official scoring is shown the next day on the league page (click "full standings" for a breakdown).

Here's how scoring works.

Let's start with Runs.  The team with the most runs gets 10 points.  The team with the second most runs gets 9 points.  And so on, down to the team that is last in runs getting 1 point.  Each of the 10 categories is scored this way, so maximum points is 100 and minimum is 10.  Ties create the 0.5 points.  Looking at runs today, Bart and vfp are tied at the top with 3 runs each.  So instead of 10 points, each gets 9.5 points.

Scoring is goofy early on.  For instance, if you haven't had a pitcher play yet, you ERA is not zero, but rather blank.  So danielle, who has an ugly 9.64 ERA so far, is considered in 4th place in ERA, ahead of everyone who hasn't had a pitcher yet.  This will normalize quickly.

Oof, sorry to hear that Anchor.  If you want to make changes during the day I can make them for you (if you can figure out what you want to do without access, of course).  btw, one of your RP (Street) is on the DL...

I'll see if the IT admin might let me in for a while. If not, it will be late tonight before I can check. Going to a game tonight.

I must say, the MLB Stattracker is pure ugly compared to the NBA one. :p Plus, to switch between teams, it actually closed and reloaded! Weird. I hope that doesn't continue.

For those who don't know--and probably won't care, but I'm gonna say it anyway--Stattracker was a service you had to pay for last year, but they decided to make it free this year. The NBA one is outstandingly outstanding, and I hope the MLB one can live up to it.

Unfortunately the MLB stattracker sucks feral donkey balls.  I've never seen the NBA one but the NFL one is much easier to use.  Yes, it reloads if you want to switch teams.  I find it easier to just keep two windows open.

Thank goodness it is free this year.  I think it was $10 before.

You could probably check out the NBA one without having to be in a league. You should, and weep at how awesome it is. I can't believe the same company makes both. :p Stupid that you have to have two open windows. In the NBA one, you just *click* and BAM! I'll try it, but maybe I'll just refresh my team page instead. We'll see.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but you can get internet radio access to every regular and postseason game (and choice of radio feed) at mlb.com for only $20.

(it was only $15 last year, but $20 is still a pretty good deal, methinks)

5 x 5 is pretty standard for roto.  What other stats do you use?

H, BB, K, FPCT, OBP, SLG

We don't even do hits and walks?! :o Haha. I also like penalties for strikeouts, cuz there aren't too many to begin with.

I guess a more streamlined version is ok for so many beginners...which shouldn't be for long. ;) I suppose you can't add any categories now, right? (cuz that would be swell if you could. At least consider it?)
