I do the same thing from time to time. Usually I make the right decision but once in a while I sit someone who has a great game. It happens.
I have a decision on Tuesaday - sit Halliday against the Yankees? I'm tempted...

Why would you sit Halladay? Dude has a 1.96 ERA and he's always done well against the Yankees. I don't know who else you have though.
Since I have six SP, if I start everyone for each start, I slowly go over innings pace. I typically skip one start out of my six pitchers.
I haven't skipped Halladay yet, and I probably won't this time either. But it is tempting.
It might not be a bad idea, I'm not saying Halladay won't do well against the Yankees, its just that the Phillies' bats are dead right now. It doesn't matter how good your pitching is if you can't score any runs.
Actually, I just checked - in two starts last year at Yankee Stadium, Halladay had a 4.85 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP. Not terribly encouraging.
I sat Halladay at the last minute...
...6 IP, 6 ER, 8 H and 2 BB later...
...guess I made the right call.
Yeah, that's an un-Halladay-like game. Or a 'last couple of months from his Blue Jays career' game. ;)
So, since he now officially sucks, who wants to trade for him?
;-)
I guess you've all forgotten about the perfect game he threw a couple of weeks ago?
Yup, totally. Guess it wasn't perfect enough.
27 men up, 27 men down. Not sure how that's not perfect enough.
Well, I know at least one of them actually hit the ball with his bat. I'm looking for a no contact perfect game.
P.S. Frinky isn't the only one who likes to joke around, y'know... ;)
Quite.

Pfft, that has nothing on Ann Margaret in Tommy right before she smashes the mirror.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
Sheesh, can't you tell this is a baseball thread?
Emo sure has changed since I last saw him! ;)
Had a great pitching day. The rotations must've changed slightly, because I had 4 starters tonight. Went 3-0 with 29 Ks. :) I'm hoping Aardsma gets a save opportunity. They're up 2-1 in the 8th.
Yeah, you had lots of wins and K's, but Burnett and Bell killed your ERA and WHIP.
Thanks, Captain Bringdown. I'm surprised you didn't say how mediocre the hitters did, too. ;)

You talking about that shot from UHF?

Well, yes, but he does it on stage, too, of course. :)
