I think “Master and Apprentice” (as it could refer to Anakin and Ahsoka, Ahsoka and Sabine, Baylan and Shin) could be a nice title as well, but probably it doesn’t sound very Star Wars either 😉
So many cool updates on this project, can’t wait to see the final outcome 😉

Are you finding that the last two episodes are at all salvageable (gotta admit, I thought they were a let down after a strong middle), or are you strictly working on them in order?

Almost there with the second cut. Just the last 15mins to finish off. The audio is complete too. Currently clocking in at 2h 57.
Acts 1 and 3 flow really well and are pretty final. The middle act is where changes may occur. I’m not 100% happy with removal of all New Republic elements on Seatos and how much of the WBW elements I’ve included.
I should get the cut finished this week and view it over the weekend. I’ll send a link to anyone interested in checking out the full current cut. I’ll also post a changelog… which will be vast!

I have to agree. This show is titled Ahsoka for a reason. It was supposed to be about her character’s journey and overcoming her harsh past. All of which is covered by the WBW. New Republic stuff just felt like stuff obligated to be there since it’s a TV show. And the emphasis on Sabine was… well let’s just say disappointing. Not much you can do about that except hope people identify some parallels between the two of them.

I haven’t watched any other Ahsoka edits yet. I like to produce my own vision first. When I originally started out with my clone wars and Mandalorian edits, there weren’t any others to see!

Besides, it’s 8 episodes condensed into one movie, I guess 2h57min is a fair running time 😄

2h 57 is pretty dang long for SW, sure just one movie?
As with most of the Disney shows, the amount of decent material for Ahsoka is around 1.5 movies worth. So I either stretch the material out to 2 movies, or tighten and trim everything and bring it in at just under 3 hours for a single movie. My aim with these edits is to create a movie event, because that is how I feel Star Wars is best viewed, so the single movie option is what I feel is best. It’s worked pretty well for my previous edits, and many modern movies have a runtime over 2.5 hours, so just shy of 3 hours isn’t excessive by modern standards.

Once your “Ahsoka” comes out, and when you release the other three edits as “New Republic”, do you think you would be open to consider releasing a version of those films without Episode numbers as well (for the viewers who may prefer skipping some of the stories)?
