TO ME IT SEEMS LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO GET A SOUND THAT'S A CROSS BETWEEN TRADITIONAL STAR WARS MUSIC AND THAT OF SCI-FI CHANNEL'S BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. SOUND LIKE IT COULD BE GOOD, RIGHT? WRONG! IT'S HORRIBLE THOUGH I WILL SAY THAT THERE ARE A FEW TRACKS THAT AREN'T THAT BAD, BUT CONSIDERING THAT THAT SOUNDTRACK CONTAINS 32 TRACKS THAT'S NOT SO GOOD.

HAS ANYBODY ELSE HEARD IT YET?

Linked to in the other thread, but what the heck? http://www.starwarsthemusic.com/music . I like the preview of the main title, but that's all I've heard. So I can't say what I think of the rest of it.

LISTENING TO THE SOUNDTRACK WITHOUT THE MOVIE IS BAD. HEARING THE MUSIC AS YOU WATCH THE CLONE WARS MOVIE IS NOT SO BAD. THE MUSIC DID ACTUALLY REMIND ME OF BSG AT TIMES WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE SCENES. I WILL SAY THAT SOME OF THE MUSIC STILL DIDN'T WORK EVEN IN THE MOVIE.

This soundtrack score is such shit that i cannot believe it is from the same guy who did the score to the 1999 Wing Commander film. That film was shit but the music was decent, to great in some parts.

Kevin Kiner also worked on sg-1 i think.

As for the orchestra i have never heard of the prague national philharmonic, not exactly John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra. Who also have been Beaten in Recent years by the London Philharmonic who did the howard shore Lord of the Rings scores. Gee i wonder who had the better material the epic grand and heroic scores of rings brought back memories of the original star wars trilogy scores while the prequel trilogy was such shit except for maybe 2 or 3 themes.

The movie was watchable for me. However, the soundtrack, which I unfortunately own, is uninspiring and repetitive.
