To talk about music, of course.

Favorite bands, bands that are underappreciated that need to be flaunted, suggestions for people to branch out, or just favorite music genres.

Rhapsody -- the best power metal band most people have never heard of.

Their newest album Symphony of Enchanted Lands II contains narration by none other than Chris "Saruman" Lee himself, who is a big fan of there's. He also performs an amazing duet with the lead singer on a single.

Okay here we go again. Apart from the local bands, which you will not know anything about, here are my favorites:

Pink Floyd, Yes, Radiohead, Air (French Band), Neutral Milk Hotel, Beatles, Queen, Genesis. Also: Fatboy Slim (except his last album) and Kid 606, Sigur Rós... Some jazz, mostly the Chet Baker and Stan Gets colaboration, Yoko Kanno's Seatbelts... Hmn... Guess that's it for now.

The Seatbelts? Very diverse styles, they have.

Bebop or not, it's a show, not an music.

Unless you mean you love the music of the show.

Yoko Kanno formed the Seatbelts to make music for Cowboy Bebop, but they performed on several different ocasions and sort of grew "separated" from the anime.

Been listening to some classics and new stuff. Picked up St. Elsewhere by Gnarls Barkley and Under the Covers Vol. 1 by Matthew Sweet and Susannah Hoffs. My musical taste is nothing if not eclectic.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I have a friend who into black metal and death metal (i.e., he thinks that Metallica are pretty soft [and in many ways they are; Zeppelin can be heavier]), so Rhapsody rings a sort of bell. Cristopher Lee, huh? No kidding.

Me? Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band (saw them in concery last, and even though Warren Haynes couldn't make it, Derek Trucks is the best guitarist they've had in a decade or two, although I miss Betts), Miles Davis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the list goes on and on. I'm sucker for rootsy stuff.

The Seatbelts? Very diverse styles, they have.

I haven't heart much from them beyond their work on Cowboy Bebop. Eclectic, are they?

I just meant their work on Bebop.

Very different types of songs, if you've ever listened to the OSTs where they have them in their full glory rather than soundbytes in the background.

Anyway, I don't think its a secret that MY favorite band of ALL TIME is Queen.

I listen to, of all things, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman in addition to the more common favorites of classic rock.

Yes, as a matter of fact he's a good baritone vocalist.

I got YIYF's CD. It's great his songs seem familiar to me as if i've known them forever.
