I chose to see something positive in your visit. It is sad that you and most other members chose the opposite. I believe you to be a sock, and as with your previous incarnation, your identity will not be released because the person behind it does not want to be revealed as that would be breaking the rules of “no socks”. The only people that can circumvent that rule would be mods or admin. Now, I am NOT accussing mods or admin because I typed that but they are the ONLY entities here that can circumvent any rules without having to reveal themselves. The privilege of being a mod or admin at most any internet site on the planet.

I’m sure you’ll ignore this question but if you aren’t accusing modes or admin who do you think created that account?

Best I can figure, you think it’s me, having done so with mod or admin blessing. Is that right?

As I have explained before, as a regular member, I do not have access to any information that would help to determine who it is.

What I do know is that the “identity” of the other account has not been revealed publicly and I doubt this one will be. I conclude from that alone that it might be someone here and that if their identity were revealed members would be upset because of the “no sock” rule … which includes you as you had to give up your socks, so no, I don’t readily believe it is you.

Could it be you? Sure it could. Could it be me? Of course but I still have no need for a sock/dummy account. It could technically be anyone here because as far as I know we are still not accepting new members.

Now, that “could” also imply that someone was allowed in around that rule, and allowed to post long enough to cause issue. We end up coming back to the possibility of it being a mod or admin as they might be the only ones to circumvent said rule. “IF” that might be the case, it is another reason no identity would be revealed.

It is all conjecture based on the available facts, for me anyways.

No one had permission to circumvent anything. No mods are posing as socks. Registration reopened weeks ago. Anybody is free to wander in now; I used to think that was the cause of the decline in the overall quality of posts here, but some of the senior members are causing me to rethink that conclusion.

I was asked why I felt the way I did by Frink. I answered. If that is all it takes to be labeled as such here, I’ll own it.

Yes. You should always assume the worst about things, that’s obviously what everybody in this thread is saying to you if you’d just pay attention.

Great question… Perhaps it accidentally self banned itself before managing to post a first post, in what I can only imagine was a hilarious endeavor that we would all remember to the end, and would bring one last smile to our lips as we drew our last breaths, confusing the heck out of our dear families. Ah, but if he IS allowed to stay, that does fit into your conspiracy of special treatment for some by the mods.

Jay already said openly that Frink is given a wider latitude than most here, that is not a conspiracy theory. Where have you been? LOL

As for the special treatment mod thing, since they quietly reopened new sign up 3 weeks ago, it could be anybody, so there is no conspiracy theory there either. If they’ve privately told you who it actually is maybe you’d like to share? No, I thought not.

I cannot be the sock, because if I was I would have been banned instantly, due to all the love and support I’ve received around here as of late of course. I’m quite sure it would probably bring Jay and Frink no greater pleasure than to ban and shame me publicly for something this legit.

Alas, it is not me. I will gladly give up my IP address publicly for it to be compared with that of the sock/dummy account posting.

Would you like to share your real identity with us? You said previously that admin can check and confirm your ident by IP check. They have not openly confirmed anything about your identity, maybe you’d like to set the record straight to reflect your intrusion?
