I finally finished Daredevil season one after watching the first few episodes last year and basically shelving it until now. It was pretty great, but I’m enjoying Jessica Jones even more so far, and am zipping through that one fast.

Oh yes, Daredevil season 1 was really great. Jessica Jones had a slow start but as soon as Doctor Who showed up it got really great. Daredevil season 2 was much weaker than season 1, but still really good. Luke Cage was the most boring series I’ve seen for at least a decade. Iron Fist - the most interesting thing from this show was the plot of rich white business men fighting over their leadership of a company. Which is pretty sad, it should be a show full of martial arts scenes, and every fight scene is boring.

It seems that with the exception of Iron Fist, the Netflix Marvel series are all bad ass. I am really anxious to see how they portray Punisher; he is probably my all time favorite Marvel character. I wish that the DC Arrow series would take a page out of the Daredevil playbook and inject some much needed realism in their show…compared to DD, the fight scenes in Arrow look like play fighting.

Oh man, Jessica Jones was just awesome. I loved every minute of it. I’ll start Daredevil season two now.

I’m having flashbacks to that weird French tv Star Wars thing with all the dancers dressed like Threepio and Vader.
Kudos to them apparently shooting with real analog cameras and keeping it 4.3. So many 70’s style videos blow the illusion by being widescreen. One or two effects are more 80’s than 70’s video technology, but I won’t nitpick too much. 😉
And I’m miffed I haven’t been able to see GOTG2 again. It still hasn’t turned up at the bargain theater.

Maybe they just had better video tech in space in the 70s than we did on Earth.
