vimeo seems a decent place to post videos mate.

It may be also be worth having a look at some of the other TLJ Fan Edits threads on here for ideas and info too.

Good luck with it 😃

I find that answer vague and unconvincing. Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? And say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Wow - that is impressively done, really nice work there - especially the Luke insertion shots.

Let me know when you come up with a name for your TLJ Edit and I’ll include it in the Fan Edit Index for you.

Totally unique and well executed concept there. Makes perhaps the worst scene in the movie have some grounded reasoning while showing the master of the force that Luke has become.

I REALLY like the concept of what you did there. The outstretched hand is a bummer though.

And now to think of it…you can really use those shots of Luke contacting Leia to make him do anything across the universe with the force in this movie. The sequence works perfectly for that purpose. The question is where it can be best used and I gotta say, this is a great option.

Good work and I’m looking forward to the rest of your edit.

Luke throwing the ship through hyperspace at Snoke’s ship? That would remove Haldo, which would be a plus for me.

And in your edit that could be Luke’s final act of heroism!

That’s brilliant.

Just find a great musical piece to set it over and your good.

And you could even switch it up so that you use the Luke contacting Leia scene for his Crait projection, have Luke live, then you show him hovering above the rock when he is moving the Raddus, and THEN he stares at the binary sunset to end the film.

Sadly darthrush, Luke is wearing his dark costume in that scene where he ‘makes contact’ with Leia from his island - so that would be quite jarring if it’s mixed with his white robed scenes in this way.

No no, you would use his dark costume sequence for the whole Crait related stuff. Think of it this way for Crait:

Kylo Slices Through Luke, Puts Saber through him in awe, we then CUT to Luke in his dark costume, focusing with the force, then we CUT back to Kylo, “See ya round kid”, then we show his eyes open when he is still in his dark costume.

So the whole Crait scene would be with his dark costume. Then when we see him move the Raddus, we at some point cut to him floating above the rock in his white robes, focusing on the force, and then once the ship gets sent into the Supremacy, you cut to his eyes opening when he is in his white robes, and him falling to the ground.

Then you can end the film with him looking at the sunset (whether he dies or not is up to the editor).

EDIT: One reason I think we weren’t on the same page is cause I was speaking in terms of DigiMod’s TLJ story structure which would go from the hyperspace kamikaze to end credits.

How do you explain the around the drama of them shooting the smaller ships? Where does that play out?

Ah, thanks for clarifying that darthrush, as I initially thought you intended to run the scenes closer together. I guess you’re thinking of cutting to other footage IN-BETWEEN his Crait antics and his Raddus antics instead, which allows time for him to have had a change of robes at some point. Could be an interesting scenario.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread RyanG, and good luck with your edit.

Typically you put it on a file locker site (I use MEGA) or a torrent, then you have people PM you for links. Do not post links in the open forum.

I cant decide if i should keep yoda’s scene or remove it. Thoughts on how it affects luke as a character? Or how do people feel about force lightening?

Author

Same here - for me the Yoda scene is great (though the ghost effect is seemingly a little ‘off’ in a couple of shots), and no issues with the lightning scene - I thought it was cool and somewhat unexpected, and having the little green guy back in it the films was really well done overall.

This is your Edit though mate - ‘you must do what you feel is right, of course’… 😉

I think im going with
- The Last Jedi -
Reimagined

I currently dont have the capabilities to change the crawl in any way or change end credits. But i wish! Either way. Retooling some rendering issues but its coming soon.

Does anyone have the ability to create a realistic STAR WARS STYLE transition into the end credits? I want it over a specific scene to end the film I just don’t have a way of doing it to where it looks professional. Any help in this matter would be great. But I can work without it as I currently am now. I just wanted to end on the scene where Luke is looking at the Double sunset…

here is my scene where I have created Luke saving Leia. thoughts?

This is the only idea that makes Carrie Poppins work. I was also planning to have a force vision/communication between Luke and Leia, but you greatly exceeded what I had in mind.

Your edit really adds a lot to Luke. The way you intertwined Luke, Leia and Kylo added emotion and urgency to the scene. When I watched the theatrical version of the movie, the approach to the bridge just felt sloppy and drawn out.
