and trust me when u will see the uncut version its not a big deal  there's only few part where sharp tooth attacks and i really dont get why did they remove that scene from the movie where they meet spiky it was about 2min longer what on the cutted version and there was part's where littlefoot's mother speaks to him with ''ghostly voice'' but there was also a part where was some kinda lizard chasing them and it was not in the cutted version.. well anyway i try do the best what i can.

 You know what - If you really have that 79 minutes mysterious Finish uncut version, I hereby offer you 1000 Euros for that tape - I will then nicely digitize it in my studio and make it available digitally for all those who are desperate for it, including myself. Deal?

This online petition stuff does nothing, IMO. The people working at Universal today probably have no idea there were scenes deleted from the film, or would have no idea where the footage might be.

And as I said before, this is all assuming that the footage still exists - there's a good chance it was thrown out some time in the last 25 years, whether intentionally or not.

Someone should contact Don Bluth about the scenes - if he were to ask Universal, maybe something would come out of it.

Disney themselves couldn't locate the finished footage that was cut from Robin Hood or The Black Cauldron when they were putting together the extras for their respective DVD releases, so I'm understandably pessimistic that Universal will ever dig up the deleted scenes from The Land Before Time...

Hey guys, just a heads up, the land before time just aired last night on Teletoon Retro in my country, (Canada). I recorded it specifically for this reason, (to see if it might be the uncut version) but unfortunately, it is not. Anyways, who knows if Teletoon would even have the uncut version to air (if there even is an uncut version out there somewhere). Just thought you'd like to know in case it ever aired again.

I'm just glad it aired on tv in general. I don't really ever see any of the classic Disney and/or Bluth movies on tv. Today's kids are missing out.

Someone should email the seller and ask if it's the uncut version.

Good grief, can we just let this go? The uncut version was never released. EVER. Every version that has ever been made available to the public has the edits. The negative trims were probably thrown out, and if any copies of the scenes in any stage of completion did survive the last 26 years, Don Bluth doesn't have them. (Judging by the fact that over the years, Universal has found stuff like the director's cut of Legend in their own holdings, if a print of the finished uncut version was EVER struck, they would be the ones to have it - unless it was unknowingly stored in the vault that burned down in the 2008 fire...)

The cut scenes will never surface from anyone on the "outside."

That said, it would be cool to obtain this print anyway.

Watched this movie today.  Wish we could piece together the missing scenes.  This movie has such fond memories for me, as it was probably one of the very first movies I saw in the theater, and it inspired a love of dinosaurs that lasted for years.  I remember the commercials with the deleted line, "We'll always be together," and other missing bits.  I wish there was even enough to do a sort of rough director's cut, something like the Criterion version of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World I saw recently, with stills at times filling in for missing scenes, but I doubt even then it'd be possible.

Oh, I didn't know of any uncut version!

The links to the sources in the description seem to be higher quality, however.  I don't know that any of these were in the uncut version, and I kind of doubt it.

I've been accused of top-posting and top-posting can be annoying. While I don't want to encourage top-posters (like myself) I must say that seeing this topic makes me interested in this movie (theatrical and/or uncut), lol!

However, I doubt an uncut version exists and this thread can go back a few pages.

On movie.4k (which is a website), some1 uploaded a video & called it "The Land Before Time Uncut"! Check it out & let's see if it's the real deal!
