This is a screenshot off the Lucasarts website from the SWG expansion “Jump to Lightspeed”.

Now, I see something wrong. Anyone else see it?

Aren't the Lambda's wings upside down?

Lord almighty I hated SWG. Crap like that is among the less glaring examples of their incomptence.
For as much as some people claim to hate what Star Wars has become, they sure seem incapable of shutting up about it.

I'm not sure 'upside-down' is what I'd use to describe it, but you're exactly right.

The Lambda shuttle's lower wings go down, the angle out, rather than out, then angling down.

How did that even get past the modeler?

Who knows?

It will take some mental visualization and probably image manipulation, but I don't think that ship could even bring its wings up. The part of the wing that is wrong would interfere.
Author
Time
No, they could be brought up, but they would stick way in the hell out to the sides.

Too funny...

I misspoke, you're right, MeBeJedi.

They could bring them up, but only part of the way.

I think its a deliberate artistic decision on their part, Lucasarts always meant for their Lambda shuttles to have immovable wings.

1. How does a ship like that land with immovable wings?

2. How do you get in and out, assuming it can land and the entrance ramp is in the same place?
Author
Time
Obviously you can only dock it in space.

Its a joke. Albeit a badly phrased one.

Oops, gotcha.

The obly thing I can guess is that it isn't a Lamda. Maybe it's some new shuttle for crews that don't mind wasting more deck space.

I don't know about that, but I do know that the Galaxies website has no record of the ship.

How could such a mistake get by like that?

I think the quality control guys for the DVDs also supervised the art direction for this game...

I sense that is just an illusion based on the shadow on the planet.

If you look carefully, its also got straight lines. It looks like a 3D model, and a bad one at that.

Guys, watch the end of RotJ when Luke leaves the Death Star in the shuttle. It looks the same to me.

Real Shuttle!!!

Silly Shuttle???

Man, how the fuck did anyone notice the wings...
I had to look real hard to spot the diff..

And I call my self a fan..tsk

And when I mean look hard, I mean look real hard at the fake, then go and find a real pic of the Shuttle to see whats what.
Not look real had at the 2 pics and not notice
You'd have to be really stupid not to notice
I noticed, therefor I'm clever!

I'm stoned!

First time in ages!!

It's nice to be stoned agian!!

I never would have noticed it if not for this thread. Actually, aesthetically speaking, I like the incorrect way better. Looks more menacing. But, practically speaking, of course the real way is better as it allows for the wings to fold upward.
