Unfortunately, the film version of Lapti Nek is not available anywhere that I know of. I recall reading that the masters for the film version of Lapti Nek and other Max Rebo source music were simply lost and hence they weren't included on the Anthology Boxed Set CD. I doubt this is the case, but I don't know why it wouldn't be released otherwise on the Anthology Boxed Set. So if Lapti Nek is featured in the Isomix DVD, then it probably is indeed the version from the Anthology Boxed Set and not the original film version.

I haven't heard the ISOMIX set, but the ROTJ DVD I have with the isolated score uses the "Dub Mix" of Lapti Nek during that sequence. The "Dub Mix" was released on a 12" 45 rpm and runs a mind numbing 7:02. It does not feature any lyrics, and neither does the isolated track on the ROTJ DVD I own. The film version seems to be lost.

Well at least the reversed surround channels have been addressed.

Whoever did other isolated score version should have used the insanoid dance mix of "Yub Nub". Maaaaan, I can never get over how 3P0's stoytelling scene is RAPPED.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

The Isomix Trilogy rules. What attracted me was the isolated score. Since I am a soundtrack/score fanatic, It was an awesome idea to put the isolated score. And I love the tv introduction on A New Hope.

Is anyone kind enough to seed the Isomix trilogy over myspleen?
the torrents have been dead for more than a week.
Or give me directions to an alternative torrent site?
Thank you

I got the Isomix because I wanted the "score only" version. Awesome!

I wish though that there was a playback option to skip the sections of the movie that have silence. Rather than being a "score only" version it would B a video clip 4 the soundtrack.

Maybe next time somebody makes a score only version they can incorporate this option.

I don't suppose we can get another seeder on the ISOMIX trilogy on MySpleen, can we? I've been trying to download it for several days now, but I really only have the opportunity in the evening/night. There's only been one seeder, and it has been taking forever (I'm ~50% on all three) and I'll plan on seeding them every night as much as I can when I get done, but getting done could be difficult. Right now there isn't any seeder at all.

Isomix ANH already had 3 seeds, so I seeded ESB. When you are done, I can seed the ROTJ too.

I have to admit the isolated score and menu features that have been lauded here really drew me in!

I jumped on the torrent (still 15 hours to go!) and I can't wait to watch it.

I'm curious about how I need to burn this to get it to play on my dvd player/tv. I have a DVD burner and some blank DVDs, so that's fine, but what software (if any) do I need to be able to do it, and is there a proceedure I need to follow? I don't want to mess it up. -_-;

Thanks,
Birdie

I've been watching the forum here for a while, and one thing that I've not seen much of, with a few exceptions, are screenshots of the DVD menus on fan-produced preservation of the OT. I've started a thread under the "Preservation And Fan Edits" heading in hopes that people might post screenshots here just for comparison purposes. Hopefully, I am not the only person interested in the stylistic directions that the folks working on these various productions take, so please, if you have a completed fan preservation, post a few screenshots of what your menus look like, as many of these are often little works of art in and of themselves.

Wow - this thread is dead. And I was the last poster not long after joining two years ago. Yowza.

Anyway, is the isolated score created for Star Wars in this set available anywhere as merely an AC3 file (demuxed from the DVD)?
