Just wanted to thank ISOMIX for the wonderful music tracks. Nicely done. What where your sources?

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

Damn. I'm pretty new to OT.com, and I've been trying to catch up on my reading. Just got to this thread today, which looks to be about a month too late.

From the comments posted here about a) the menus; and b) the isolated, music-only track, I'm now pretty interested in getting a copy of this ISOMIX trilogy. Can anyone hook me up? Discs, torrents, FTP, Usenet group -- whatever. I'm resourceful (if a bit lazy).

Many thanks in advance!

Get your resourceful-yet-lazy self on over to the usual torrent site--
the one which tracks all of Blaksvn's torrents, and is named after a somewhat obscure body part.

There you'll find all three ISOMIX torrents.

And don't forget to donate to MySpleen.net

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Thanks, DM. I've never used BT, so I guess this is where "resourceful" has to kick in! Pick a client, find a seed at MyEpiglottis, and then wait...

...I think it was MyAppendix.

MySpleen.net is named after a scene in an INVADER ZIM episode "Nano-Zim"

Zim: I've been flying ships since before you were born, sad little Earth monkey!

Zim laughs as he skids along Dib's spleen, tearing it up. Dib screams.

Dib: My spleen!

Zim: Now I'm in your trachea, Dib. Your brain is so close I can smell it.

I got a quick question... where do you download the movies ?!
Author

So before you go there get a bit torrent client, like ABC or something similar and set it up first.

I really love this set. The image quality is by no means bad and the isolated scores are nearly flawless. My only complaint is that, in Jedi, the film version of "Lapti Nek" and the barge music weren't in the isolated score track, and those were the two selections I was most looking forward to. I'm almost positive that the film version of "Lapti Nek" was released somewhere along the line, pretty unsure about the barge music.

Lapitek was released on a CD a long while back. ADigitalMan has it I think?
So do you think the ISOMIX set has better video than the others? If not, which do you think has?

I didn't say I thought it had better video, but I do think it has a good picture, one I'd be able to live with if I had to. Hell, I bought the original "LOOK" DVDs from a comicon in... 2001? 2000? I can't quite recall. Either way, almost anything is a great step up from that set. I can't really compare it to other current sets, since the only other set I have at the moment is the Dr Gonzo set. To me, Dr G definitely has the edge on the ISOMIX picture, but I doubt any of them are going to hold up for long with this whole X0 project thing (very exciting).

Unfortunately, the film version of Lapti Nek is not available anywhere that I know of. I recall reading that the masters for the film version of Lapti Nek and other Max Rebo source music were simply lost and hence they weren't included on the Anthology Boxed Set CD. I doubt this is the case, but I don't know why it wouldn't be released otherwise on the Anthology Boxed Set. So if Lapti Nek is featured in the Isomix DVD, then it probably is indeed the version from the Anthology Boxed Set and not the original film version. The only person who may know of a copy of the film version would be Neil S. Bulk. Neil is our resident expert on Lapti Nek and Yub Nub. Neil, you listening?

By the way, the film version AND the album version of Yub Nub (er, "Ewok Celebration") are both available on the Anthology Boxed Set.
I am fluent in over six million forms of procrastination.

Yeah, by having the Anthology boxed set, I was familiar with the album version of "Lapti Nek", which I find very much inferior to the film version. It always bugged me.

I actually have a "dance mix" of Yub Nub by Meco Mornado released on a single at some point. It was a DVD-ROM feature on one of Rikter's DVDs, one of his editions of the Holiday Special. It's really... umm... bad.

Having just finally gotten around to fetching the ISOMIX ANH, I'm wondering if it's been updated with the Viper's corrected subtitles. The date for the tracker listed on the myorganicandowithoutifitruptures.net predates Viper's corrections, and I'm assuming that the files couldn't be corrected without breaking the tracker.

So, assuming that BT isn't flexible enough to allow the change or that it hasn't somehow been updated, is there now a permanent home for Viper's subtitles?

Thanks!

I won't consider myself the permanent home, but I do have the files saved
if Viper's links have gone defunct. They're quite small -- less than 256k for the lot.
