I am starting a project for Harry Potter in a similar fashion to stuff like the Alien Archives, DotD UEv2, and a lot of the SW releases. It would be about the Harry Potter movies and books. I have a ton of stuff for year 5, mostly concerning the movie. …about 2DVDs worth. so… since this stuff will probably come in sporadically, and not chronologically, i was thinking of just releasing them as such:

HP Archives - Year Five (volume 1)
HP Archives - Year Five (volume 2)
…and whatever comes in, as I get enough to fill up a DVD I can release a volume for that year (movie/book)

Here is a list of what I have so far for potentially volumes 1 and 2 of year five…

  • Conan O’Brien interviews: with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson

  • Jonathon Ross interviews: with Daniel Radcliffe, JK Rowling, Helena Bonham Carter

  • Letterman interview: with Emma Watson

  • Leno interview: with Daniel Radcliffe

  • J.K. Rowling’s appearance on Blue Peter featuring JKR being asked questions by 25 kids.

  • The Snitch.co.uk at the movie premier in London

  • Daniel Radcliffe on Ricky Gervais`s series “Extras”

  • Robbie Coltrane interviewed on ITVs The South Bank Show

  • J.K. Rowling on UK TV chat show Richard & Judy

  • Special HP segment for the Children’s Party at The Palace for the Queen’s birthday.

  • Michael Gambon interviewed on UK TV Car show Top Gear.

  • Sky News’ interview with Rupert Grint at the 2006 BAFTA’s.

Most of the videos were AVI sourced (some have really good quality, some are not as spectacular). The sky news interview and Michael gambon interview aren’t that great quality. If anyone has better quality videos of these, or anything else to contribute or stuff I should look for let me know. Right now, this amount of material easily fills up 2 DVDs which will probably be released as volumes one and two

I also have found a torrent for the ebert and roeper review of the movie, but it doesnt seem to be seeded. if anyone has this…

I am especially interested in getting material for the other movies/books, as I fear it may be very hard to dig some of this up.

yeah, i found that site, thanks. most of the videos aren't in the best quality though. I have got enough stuff for 2 volumes of year 5, and over half of a third. I will be authoring these and checking them in the next few days, I'll post more info then. I still need to find some quality captures of stuff from the previous movies (and books)

This sounds AMAZING - just what I have been looking for.

I should be getting a good rip of the G4 special soon. It will be featured on HP Archives - year 5 volume 3. After looking over what I currently have, and what might be coming in, I am going to try to put 1 decent length feature on each volume, with a bunch of bonus features. Here is how I am lining things up as of now:

Year 5 - volume 1
- ITV Behind the Magic
- HBO First Look
- all 3 trailers
- 3 Johnathon Ross Interviews

Year 5 - volume 2
- A&E Hidden Secrets
- snitch.co.uk premiere interviews
- US talk show appearances (Leno, Letterman, Conan)

Year 5 - volume 3
- G4 Behind the Scenes
- Extras feat/ Daniel Radcliffe
- HP world clips (Making of the US Theme Park)
- Ebert & Roeper review
- ???more to come???

That makes volumes 1 and 2 about 2 hours long each, and there is a little over an hours worth of material for volume 3. So I'll hold off on that until there is enough to fill up the release. I have some additional videos, but the quality is rather poor. I havent decided what to do with them yet.

With that kind of structure for the discs (decent length special + extras) it sounds sort of like the Babyhum releases. Which is cool. Looking forward to these discs.

that was a bit of inspiration for the structure. I really like how he laid out those SW releases. it makes each release as important or cool as the last. Hopefully the material keeps surfacing!

It will be uploaded to RS for sure. you can check fanedit.org for release updates and DL info. If someone wants to torrent these also, I will seed the heck out of them. I am hoping to get year 5 - volume one done and available next week. I am also willing to arrange trades or whatever with people who cant download. Glad you are interested goldstone9

i hadn't planned on it, I don't have a newsgroup subscription. If someone wants to upload this we can make arrangements.

Speaking of the newsgroups, does anyone know of any material floating around there that hasn't been mentioned? I would like to get a copy of the teen choice award stuff from the other night. and of course i am very much lacking material from the previous movies/books.

i know there is a good bit out there. maybe not quite the extent as for this recent film, but i have not been able to track high-quality video down. Most things are very tiny avis or movs. there is a good bit of stuff listed on thesnitch.co.uk and mugglenet

I've managed to find some things that were shown on the Virgin film service in the UK for the first film. I've also got the show about the costumes for OOTP.
