I don’t believe this was ever released on DVD. So for those that might be interesed in preserving a copy I noticed over the weekend that one of the Sundance channels was broadcasting it. I’m sure it will have a few runs in the coming weeks. As far as I know this was only released on VHS.

Man I've been hunting a good copy of this for a while!!! Please let me know if this gets completed. Will this be uncensored? I don't watch too much tv so I'm not that familiar with Sundance.

Nevermind, I'm dumb. I just ordered Sundance (showtime unlimited) from Dishnetwork and it looks like it will air next Tuesday at 10:00am. Woo Hoo! Thanks for the heads up!!

I got it! Captured from my digital satellite to my DVD-R and I'm now working on authoring a nice looking disc. I should have this finished by tonight. Throwing in a few extras as well.

If that is from the 25th anniversary I have that on 2 DVDs. I actually used some of the acts from that airing in my extra's section. DVD is done, I just have to burn a copy and verify that it works. I'll keep you posted.

I also have a DVD of E! True Hollywood Story of the Gong show that I almost put on this DVD as an extra but it would've taken up too much space and I wanted as little compression as possible.

Yeah, I think that's what I have as well. I seem to remember a station doing a "remembrance" of the show -- can't remember if it was E! or GSN -- either way, they played some episodes afterwards.

That was good stuff!

DVD is done tested and and ready to go. This was my first DVD author/preservation using DVDLab Pro and I'm pretty happy with it.

I loved this show as a kid. I tried watching the movie when it was on sundance channel but I couldn't sit through it all the way.
