 i looked into doing this project myself a little while back and the problem with the amc footage is not just that it is censored and has the watermark, but also numerous advertisements are played on screen which unfortunately happens during some of the extended scenes, which makes it impossible to remove it unless it is somehow photo shopped out. I would recommend using ModernKnifes version of the saga as a template because it includes footage that amc never restored, although in low quality, it still should be included for a sake of completion. 

New problem.  Does anyone have the .ass (or .ssa) subtitle file (subtitle track 6 on the US version) from the blu-ray for just the Italian (non-English) parts that they could upload?  I need this for Part I and for Part II.

Was this 5.1 mix created from separate elements or is it just an up-mix from the 1.0?

Godfather Saga AMC in HD is released 3 long years ago,
and looks like no one have intention to make uncensored version.

Use AMC and import scenes from Blu-Ray, or opposite.
And maybe 5.1 track (DTS)
Without GFIII
Release as Blu-Ray.

That can be best chronological version in best quality for a long long time.

 I would love to see your footage, how do we get this movie. It doesn't have to be free either, just direct me somehow...All supposed download sites and links are no longer active or reliable...

 No, i used the rip on the tv-vault. 

All the scenes from the AMC HD extended version of the film are now inserted back into the film. The quality is in full hd and sourced for the Coppola restored blu ray with full 5.1 surround. This is the first time these scenes have been edited back into the original film in a full hd cut.

Wow, this is just incredible. Commercial-free, in HD, no AMC logo, AND uncensored? Just fantastic news! I’ve been waiting for this since buying the “Trilogy 1901-1980” laserdisc years ago.

We’ll figure out where I’ll post it. I’ll completely re-do that entire 2 disc set again.

Looks like that’s the only airing. On my DVR I had to record HBO itself for the 6:05. Thanks for the heads up. 😄
