Wow.

I’m not saying that he couldn’t do a better job, I’m just saying that it sounds so arrogant that I had to laugh.

Not enough people read the EU.

I cannot fathom taking the reigns of a Star Wars production. It would be quite an honor, but an honor easy to squander.

Well, this thread dried up.

I guess now the holidays are over the film students had to go back to class.

War does not make one great.

Probably people just have better things to do than talk endlessly about some mediocre (at best) movie.

I think there are people on these boards who would make a great film with a fraction of the money.

It’s certainly possible. But I guarantee you it wouldn’t be Alderaan, imperialscum, or myself.

I think it’s safe to say you would be a better sycophant than a director, that’s for sure.

Inigo Montoya does not think you know what that word means.

Regardless of whatever you were trying to say, I would make a terrible director. The difference between us is that I understand my limitations.

Seeing as how we’ve never met each other, and I was not talking about our directorial skills to begin with, your posts come across as quite bitter and sad.

I know what you have been saying… Just because you never said “I could direct this better” doesn’t mean you aren’t constantly trying to prove you know better.

And I’m not sure why you think I’m bitter, I have no interest in making a film. Unless maybe you aren’t sure what that word means either?

JJ is a professional director. If someone gave either of us that much money, we’d make a shit film.

I’d probably take the money and run, so you wouldn’t even have a movie! 😉

So now I’m supposed to take second-best?

This deal is getting worse all the time.

I think this thread would be more lively if you anti TFA people actually had more than one decent argument for your perspective but oh well.

“Anti TFA people”… C’mon, we’re just discussing together about something we all like, Star Wars, sharing each other’s point of view on its last movie. I’d say arguments are mostly “decent” from both sides, but what else is to say on TFA that we haven’t covered yet? 😄

Not me.

A professional director that makes shit films. If that money had been given to a proper director we might have had something well executed in terms of narrative structure , time lapses and pace. What we got is a series of flashing images in succession. Kis would have worked better, they should have concentrated on character development and plot rather than an epileptic extravaganza.
