The Fall Guy Tv Series HD Reproduction

I have just finished a HD reproduction of The Fall Guy Season 4 TV series.

Brief History of this great TV series is Season 1 & 2 were released on DVD across the USA and Europe some years ago, however these were removed of all copyright music so all songs were removed from every episode along with scenes cut or blurred out.

ITV4 in the UK showed Season 1 to 3 many years ago with original music however only season 3 was captured and shared around, then for many years nothing no re broadcast nothing and the only copies of season 4 and 5 were incredibly poor old TV rips from either some US broadcast squeezed into a letterbox format or some bad UK Bravo channel or family channel airing again very bad quality.

Then with the release of the Ryan Gosling Fall Movie the Heroes & Icons channel in the states began showing the show again with 4 episodes every Thurs and 1 on a Sunday.

The sad news is heroes & Icons used the DVD masters for season 1 & 2 with replacement music and cut scenes, season 3 was the same as the old ITV4 captures but the ITV captures were better as sadly H&I format to 16.9 and the frame rate jumps all over the place giving jumpy scenes in SD poor SD format.

H&I have also dropped episodes in Season 4 & 5 one would assume no clearance on music, so 2 episodes dropped from season 4 and I believe 3 so far from season 5.

The good news was the episodes from season 4 & 5 did contain original music and lots of it as was originally broadcast the first time in a great many years these have been seen or broadcast.

I then came into possession of The German HD copies of the show that was broadcast on Nitro or Sky 1 in Germany, these were 1080 and 4.3 ratio, sadly season 1 & 2 were 1080 masters of the DVD releases all be it better quality than the DVDs.

These were broadcast with 2 audio tracks German & English so I obtained the English to have season 1 & 2 in HD

Season 3 was HD but in German, I have re dubbed around 80% of these back into English from the UK ITV4 copies as a sound source then dropped in and out of them as the process is very time consuming.

But with H&I showings gave me a new lease of excitement, I got my HD German broadcast copies of Season 4 all in German and used the H&I copies as a sound source and began re dubbing the German copies back into English, the 2 episodes they dropped I had alternate English tracks for so I have now completed S4 and have a full set of HD English copies of that season.

I’m about to begin with Season 5 and re dub these back into English, the 3 they have dropped I have 2 alternate sound sources, sadly there will be one missing episode as no German broadcast was made of the episode Trail by Fire on either Nitro or Sky 1 and H&I have also dropped that episode so I don’t have any HD copy of that episode to play with.

A great preservation of a great TV series sadly now owned by Disney so the likely hood we will never see it as was originally broadcast.

I shared season 4 on spleen and also on TV Vault, not pushing with S3 or S5 as not overly much interest for the work involved as its very time consuming to make them.
May upload S3, S5 along with HD but music replaced S1 and 2 at some point but low on my priority list now.

Hello. I’m from Germany and Fall Guy is still very popular here. The German title is “Ein Colt für alle Fälle” (A Colt for all cases), a wordplay with his first name being a weapon. The German Pay-TV Network Sky showed this series on some of their channels, but I only was able to record some episodes through a half-illegal IPTV service. I think for seaons 1 and 2 they also just show the “remastered” DVD-masters and only changed the title-card in the intro to the German one, the end credits are in English. For the rest of the series they show the original old German TV-Masters, transfered in the best possible quality. It even has the individual German localised end-credits for each episode.

Originally the Channel ZDF made and broadcasted the German dub in the 80s and they had a copiright-text at the very end of each end-credits, with the ZDF Logo. The general dubbing informations are still there, but the copright info part with the ZDF Logo from the end is removed in the Sky version, which I think was already edited by RTL in the 90s.

The Free-TV channel Nitro, that belongs to RTL, also shows that series in the same version as Sky, but with commercial breaks and without the end-credits. On Sky there are no breaks within an episode, only between the episodes, and as I said, it has the full end-credits, exept that one little change at the end.

As I said, unfortunately I only could record some episodes from Sky and they don’t show it at the moment. But at the moment Nitro shows it again and I try to record it from there. Today, at Saturday April 12th 2025, I record S01E04, S01E05 and S01E06, unfortunately I missed the first 3 last week. Tomorrow on Sunday they show the next three episodes.

The problem is, they show it very early in the morning, so I’m still sleeping. On real TV I just can record it in SD, because the HD version of the channel is protected and no IPTV service has an automatic timer record function, becuse it would be usless, because the signla is unstable and can stop anytime, so you have to restart it mannually. Also the quality can change.

To record it from real TV in original HDTV quality, you need a special illegal ci-module and smart-card, that eliminates the protection.
