So now with The Evil Dead Treasures done, and Evil Dead 2 Treasures 2 Disc available now,how long at an estimate until we are able to see Army of Darkness Treasures?

*The Evil Dead Treasures Collection will go up at Spleen soon, still working out the deatails with See No Evil.*

Army Of Darkness may take two or three months yet - I'm posting the content to Chris (cmbmls), who's authoring and designing the disc, later this week, and am still trying to source one or two other cool additions.  It may take a little while, but believe me, what we're working on will be well worth the wait!

How does one go about getting an invite to MySpleen?  It would be nice to check these out, but I have no way of getting to them!

Just to update everyone; dark_jedi has kindly uploaded both discs  of 'The Evil Dead 2 Companion' DVD to spleen.

With regards to my 'The Evil Dead - The Treasures Collection' DVD, I am currently working on adding in some updates & new stuff to the DVD-ROM folder (taking it up from 1.3gb to around 1.8gb and taking the DL DVD up to capacity) and then I'll pass this new version on to also be uploaded to spleen in the next week or so.

This is just updating the contents of the DVD-ROM folder only, the video content of the DVD is identical to the previous newsgroup version.

Once this private torrent is available, it won't be long before someone uploads it to a public tracker.

The DVD-ROM folder has really become a project in it's own right. What I have assembled so far, is already too big to fit on the TC DVD along with all the existing video material, so I'm leaving out some of the less rare items. With this in mind, DJSmokingJam & I are intending to continue building this folder up until we have enough to fill a DVD, then release this on it's own at some point.

Thanks for the info See No Evil

And great artwork AvP,but curious if you were going to make up Bluray artwork for Ady's Empire Strikes Back?

Great job on the artwork AvP!  Very pleased you used the Graham Humphries UK art, as his posters for the first Evil Dead films are pretty definitive in my opinion.  It also fits in with SeeNoEvil's design for the first Treasures Collection disc, where he used Humphries' cover for the original Evil Dead UK video.

Incidentally, is this being listed on fanedit.org, or are any reviews being published around the Net yet?  Aside from private correspondence and a few bits about the first disc in this thread, I haven't heard anyone's opinion of the discs yet.  Come on people, if you want us to carry on we'll need our egos pampered a teeny bit more ;-)

I've watched most of the features on the EDII discs.

- The camcorder footage I just skipped around. I enjoyed Behind the Screams on disc II much more.

- The workprint was fascinating, if only to realize just how little sound was taken on set. "Workshed," was unbelievable.

- Behind the Screams I watched straight through. Had a lot of fun watching it, too.

- The UK TV spots rule. I'm a better man for having seen them.

- The interviews with Sam were golden.

---

Unfortunately my school has just now totally blocked torrents, so I won't be able to download the Evil Dead I disc for some time, unless it's put up on Rapidshare. When it is, I'll have another outline review for you guys.

A torrent of this should be going up in the next week. As I said above I'm just working in some new DVD-ROM material and it's this new version that will be uploaded.

Thanks for everyone's patients.

Just another short update,

'The Evil Dead - The Treasures Collection' DVD v1.2 is just about complete. This disc is the third & completely final release. Once it's all finished & checked I'll get a copy over to Dark_Jedi who will be uploading a torrent version. This will likely be online towards the end of next week, but that would be up to Dark_Jedi.

Having obtained so much new evil dead related material recently, the DVD-ROM folder project has now become too big to fit with everything else on the DVD. Rather than continue to remove some of the less important/rare items, and go on trying to fit everything onto one disc, all future DVD-ROM folder releases will be as a standalone single layer DVDr DATA disc.

I had to shrink the current project folder down by 344mb to make it fit on the Treasures Collection DVD, but luckily I've only had to remove 2 big files and resize two big images to achieve that. The final folder still comes in at 1.73gb, and there's roughly 500mb of new material since the 1.1 release.

The next (standalone data disc) release of the DVD-ROM folder will have both these files back in and the two originally sized images too. That will be released once DJSmokingJam & I have built enough new material above & beyond what's on this disc.

I just d/l ED (1) treasures.. from a.b.m.horror

Someone was nice enough to post add. pars so the post is complete. Took a while to rebuild the post w/ the pars. I'd be happy to create an nzb (will make everyone's life easier) and post again. I'd add nzb to index sites to get the word out. Post will be complete and hopefully minimal pars needed, if any. I'm not sure if what i d/l is v. 1.2 as you had mentioned or not. I'm guessing from nfo that its the original version.

Sorry but i have no patience for RS, i'm old school usenet. If you can spare an invite to spleen I can d/l EDII torrent and then u/l to a.b.m.h.

I can u/l the ED1 that i got from usenet now. Its simple and fast for me to u/l to any newsgroup

Let me know

Regards,

Hugo

The Evil Dead Treasures Collection that was uploaded to a.b.mm.horror was V1.1.

What provider do you use? I though it was only people who used the Easynews web interface that had problems with completion and required the extra PARs. I don't consider there is a need for a repost unless it was incomplete over several different providers.

I have the Evil Dead 2 discs from Myspleen; I was planning to upload them to the newsgroup in the next few days.

I'm using my isp server and easynews, but not the web interface.

some of the files didn't come thru right, now sure why. but when you see [???/???] on some files you know there was a prob. For example there are two part158.rar files that are totally different files. All that matters is that the post was complete w/ pars. I tried to create an nzb file from existing files already u/l ,but its easier to just repost with fresh pars and an nzb.

I'll be happy to help out posting anything to usenet. Like i said, i'm not into RS or the idea of begging/trading an invite from a self-appointed gatekeeper to the internet. I can d/l at 3 MB/s on usenet and can't come close on torrents. Regardless of what u do an nzb file and index site [nzbmatrix] might make sense.

Let me know if I can help out

Regards,

Hugo

Only just found this topic from checking up on the Primative Screwhead thread.

This work is awesome :)

Grabbed ED2:TC from tehparadox & ED1:TC from newsgroups.

Found selective .nzb for Part 1 at this site:

http://bintube.com/files.aspx?pid=03bedf9e7dd520b070eb6de914a10cba

Keep up the great work guys, I really can't wait to get them downloaded and check 'em out :)

Thanks for the info re bintube. You can create an nzb from the posts from several sources. I found that the nzb files that were created didn't pull all the files because i believe some of the files posted were corrupted during u/l. That was my experience anyway.

I just think its alot easier to repost using the complete files that were d/l
