Let me ask you one question... Would U be fine with Hay Chris if he wsa given a better dialogue script and Anakin Skywalker was given a better personality like was stated during/in the original trilogy???? I would!!!!

If you mean would I be fine with inserting him into ESB, my answer would still be no.  If you mean would I be ok with him having been cast in episodes 2 and 3, my answer would be probably - I'd have to see it.  The stories were still a mess.

Note that I wouldn't be so adamantly against the changes to the OT if the original theatrical Academy Award winning versions were also properly restored and made available.  In the absence of proper restorations, the modified ("SE") versions just serve to remind us how three classic movies have been uniquely abused and neglected, and yes, surpressed.

Ah, the "prequels aren't bad because the original trilogy isn't very good either" defense.  This holds no water, in my opinion.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

Star Wars was nominated for 10 Academy Awards in 1977, including Best Picture.  It is perennially listed among the top 15 films of all time by the AFI.  Personal preferences aside, by any objective measure there is no comparing the quality and relative impact of the OT versus the PT.

Father Skywalker.

I'm not new here and I got a bit of heat for suggesting PT elements in the new ST so don't worry you are not alone.

I do however loathe the PT... mostly, I dislike ROTJ mostly too but until someone remakes them those are the episodes 1, 2, 3, and 6 of this saga so part of me get's where you are coming from in terms of continuity links.

I am with Puggo when it comes to restoring and making available the original original films before making any further special editions.

If that was done I could get behind a yellow Windu.

In my opinion, you people are all very biased against the prequels because you are very nostaglic about the good ol days of the originals trilogy; however, in my opinion, neither trilogy is all that good on its own, but when combined together, the star wars saga and series is awesome and it's is my favorite science fiction/sci-fi story of all time!!!!

OK, I gotta be serious for a moment, because I strongly disagree. While the movies may not be flawless, the original trilogy works perfectly on its own. On the other hand, if it weren't for the OT, a decade later the prequels would be completely forgotten, or at best remembered as an example of terrible blockbusters, such as Battlefield Earth or The Independence Day.

Return Of The Jedi is approaching the lack of quality shown in TPM .

Make Mark act as tired as Harrison and Ian as limp as Moff JarJarRod and it would be on the PT naughty step.

I worded my opinion the wrong way, I apologize, not for offending anybody here, but for my own stupidity in expressing my opinion (s).........

I meant, I enjoy the original trilogy far more knowing the storyline of the prequel trilogy, knowing that the two are connected to each other; on their own they're are nowhere near as awesome as they are combined, on its own the Original trilogy is awesome, yes, I didn't mean to deny that..........

Who do people call him grand moff Jerjerrod??? That sounds like such a goofy name!!!!! It sounds a suspicous lot similarity to Jar Jar Binks!!!! Where was that name ever mentioned???

I apologize if my extreme punctuation annoys you or anybody else too, it's is just an OCD habit; if it gets annoying I'll will stop it.........

Did he survive the explosion of the second death star or not???

I preferred connecting the OT to the interesting well acted and visually arresting version of the past that my imagination conjured up watching the first couple of movies.

Sadly nobody made those.

You didn't offend me, just saying that knowing the so-called backstory may actually make me enjoy the originals less. Just from the top of my head - Darth Vader was actually originaly a whiny idiot, the noble Old Republic used cloned armies to fight their war for them. I prefer to purge every memory of the prequels from my head before watching the original trilogy.

I meant, was grand moff Tian Jerjerrod on the second death star (DS2) during the explosion??? I'm am still very confused on why you dislike the prequels..... 3 of my friends are prequel-fans....2 of them love all of the prequels equally, one of them says that he loves episode 3 but he finds episodes 1 and 2, as just merely ok, and meh......

Do you hate/dislike the prequels trilogy because they ruined the mystery of the originals trilogy??? Do you believe that the prequels trilogy was ireedemable, and regardless of how it could have been better or improved, it's existence, is, in and of itself, bad, and it ruins the originals????

The noble Old Republic used armies of clones; why is that wrong??? Another thing, I have no clue how they make clones in the star wars prequels, in real life, a clone has to grow in his mother's uterus/belly like any other ordinary baby does in a pregnancy, and then it ages and grows up normally, not like you get a machine and get a complete adult clone within a matter of days/weeks........

I think the colars should have been fixed but that goes without saying.

Don't blame Hayden Christensen for the bad acting, blame George Lucas, he wrote the script, Hay Chris just chose to go along with that!!!!!

Check out Jumper and factory Girl, two films he did just after the prequels. His acting is exactly the same level as it is in the prequels in both of those -awful. In fact it's so similar it is as if he is still playing Anakin Skwalker in both of those, except in one he uses a very dodgy accent. Good actors can still shine even with bad directing, but bad actors will still be bad no matter how good the director.

A great director will get even a plank like Hayden to act.

Lucas has not been a good director for some time.
