Am I right in thinking that the vid quality isn't great on this mono version?
Author
Time
It is not as good as the version 2 release but still very watchable with the mono soundtrack.

4 - 5 - 3 - 1 - 6 - 2

Amazing production quality! Haven't seen this disc yet, but those colors really pop; beautiful. And taking the OT to the real OT is awesome. Love the menus and the isolated score option. Nice job, whoever did it.

If nothing has been done to help you over the next few days I'll be able to help you (haven't burnt discs yet, the computer containing it wont be online for a few more days). I don't have the Mono Mix disc yet though, so I don't have any DVD-ROM content for that, if there is any.

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

Hey Gillean - could you still upload the DVD-ROM content for me sometime?

Done.

I've got the official content for ANH (second version with alternate crawls) and ROTJ; and the official JACKET_P and unofficial content created by The Starkiller for ESB. The ESB disc never featured any DVD-ROM content, the ROTJ disc was the first one to have it.

I'd also like the DVD-ROM content, as well as DVD covers, for the EditDroid set, if anyone would care to share it... Thanks!

My links to the DVD-ROM content a few posts up still work, so you can just grab that there. There were no official covers, so you have a bit of a choice for them.

Yes there are official covers, as well as labels and case inserts.

Here's a post from alt.binaries.starwars on 08 Feb 2005:

This repost of coverart for the "Mysterious Mysteries" edition DVDs (which I would prefer be called the
"EditDroid" editions) is necessary because of the JPEG conversions I saw on Grisan's site.

The files I originally uploaded were CMYK TIFFs, exactly as I had originally made them, intended for
high-quality print output. I'm not implying that Grisan is responsible, but the files on his site are
very poor RGB conversions. Whatever process they used to convert colorspaces threw colors way
out of whack.

So from the "if you want something done right, do it yourself" department, here are proper RGB
conversions, saved as JPEGs, of the original coverart.

Thank you, and enjoy.

The whole ball-o-wax can be found inside Blaksvn's RotJ torrent @myspleen, which currently shows three seeders.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

I just finished downloading EditDroid's ROTJ tonight, so I'll be seeding for awhile. However, I'm on late nights (midnight to 5 am or so), unless I'm off work, if it helps anyone else in their quest for a copy.
Something witty.

I just finished getting STAR WARS a few minutes ago. Its really well made. The menus, etc. are stuff I would expect from an official release.

The video quality is even better than Cowclops V.2 (which is the only preservation I currently own), in my humble opinion. I cant wait to see the other two.

This set is awesome!

The video quality is not bad, but unfortunately it's not anamorphic.

That's okay, neither are the official ones.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

What's so bad about it not being anamorphic? They're working from a letterbox source so they're not going to gain much quality.

They're working from a letterboxed analog source, so using more pixels to represent the same amount of visual information is always a good thing.

...apart from the fact that the extra pixels used for anamorphic are horizontal rows, which are interpolated after the A/D conversion.

Could someone please send me:

-The Editdroid DVD covers (edited to include Rowman's special features)
-The Editdroid inserts
-The Editdroid disc labels
-New Rowman Bonus disc labels to match the Editdroid ones

I'd REALLY like to make a DVD set out of this, but I can't unless I have those JPEGs. I'm asking nicely, someone please make them for me.
