"alt.binaries.starwars" is a newsgroup on Usenet where people post binaries (files) for others to download.

In the last few months the Dr Gonzo Trilogy has been posted there along with the Supplemental disk.

Also posted has been the Wookie Groomer SplitScreen Trilogy, the TR47 Trilogy, the Row47 Trilogy, various Holiday Specials, The Forgotten scenes, the documentary When Star Wars Ruled The World, Making of a Trilogy 1 and 2, The Muppet Show, The Clone Wars and the EditDroid ANH.

Not forgetting numerous comics, books, e-books, audio books, pictures, mp3 files, avi/mov/mpeg files, artwork, disc covers and games........

Promised shortly is the Dr Gonzo Trilogy (again) and the GKar SE Trilogy.

Many Internet Service Providers do provide free access to the Usenet newsgroups.

Mine is not very reliable at the moment so I signed up for a pay as you go service.

In my case it was $25 for 65Gb which would get you most of what I mentioned earlier.

Try Astraweb and see what they have to offer.

As well as alt.binaries.starwars, there are many other newsgroups as well.

Download and install Azureus, or BitTornado, or a similar Torrent manager, and then go to MySpleen. There, you will find almost anything you need to download. If you are looking specifically for Dr.Gonzo's set, you will have to go either to www.torrentsearch.us or to www.torrentreactor.net and download the torrents titled "Pre SE LD rip".

Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize you were looking for the supplamental matterial disc... I'm on the same search too

I'm fairly partial the the Farsight transfer myself. MySpleen has that set which includes a 4th disc of extras, you should check that out.

Yes, I am seeding that set, because it seems that most seeds in myspleen crowd themselves in some torrents (I have seen 15 seeds for 1 peer!), and some other intersting stuff are not seeded at all. And as seeds for the Farsight set are rare to find, I'll hang on there for a while...

hi everyone.
I've been trying to dl the Dr. Gonzo trilogy in the past few days (I've got 25%-30% of each so far), but it seems now that the trackers are down.
the fact is that I'm not sure wether the trackers are really down or not. I've got two kinds of messages with Azureus (for Mac OS X): "ConnectException:Connextion refused" and "Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker." If I understand correctly the different FAQs about BiTorrent errors, the first one could simply indicate that the tracker is down (and the best thing to do then is to wait and see), but the second one seems more definitive, doesn't it?
another client (Bits on Wheels) tells me "Error: can't find host". Seems to me like a different kind of error.
does anybody know something about it, or maybe there are alternate trackers out there?

Where are you d'loading the files from?
As far as I know, these torrents are available in Torrentsearch and Torrentreactor named as Pre SE LD rip.
Torrentreactor lets you know if a torrent is currently seeded and if the tracker is properly running, so you could check that. But as I can see, Torrentreactor is down at the moment (Is that a coincidense?). As far as the "ConnectException:Connextion refused" message, It seems to me that you have an instace of your torrent manager not properly shut down so you are refused a second connection by the tracker. In that case rebooting should fix the problem. Another explanation would be that you blocked several ports via a firewall, and the tracker does not allow firewalled users, but I think that is unlikely...

The torrents have resumed.
The connection refusal has begun after a computer crash. So you must be right about that. The reason why I didn't consider it in the first place is that the only torrents affected by the crash were the Dr.Gonzo ones, whose download rates have incidentally begun to drop dead a few minutes before the crash occurred. Furthermore, as you noticed, there were a few torrent searchsites down.
Now everything seems to be back to normal. If only the "Supplemental Material" torrent did work…

It stands for 'Prime Minister'. You can relay a message to your country's Prime Minister and the PM will call you and let you know what the message is.







Just kidding- it stands for 'personal message' and its a system that you can send little in-forum 'emails' to each other.
Look for the 'message' indicator at the upper left-hand corner of your screen.

Try Torrentsearch or Torrentreactor.
Search for "Star Wars Pre SE LD rip", as they are not titled as "Dr.Gonzo".
They are torrent downloads.
Unfortunatelly, the extras disc is not available as a torrent. PM me if you want it.
