This might be an obvious question, but will there be global color correction done this film to account for the 2004 color issues? Was this done with your original edit of ANH? (As good a place to ask as any). Thanks!

Hell no. I'm not that obsessive
I think I've already got a better shadowing of the Emperor today, although it'll never match the original. Mine is the scuffed-up image on the right.

Now I'm confused regarding color correction. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.
I much prefer the image on the right. Like I said, now the Emperor doesn't look like Skeletor.

I hope so, Editor, for your sake. GhostAlpha26 is not as forgiving as I am.

If only you had a clean backplate...
But it does look semi-better with the shadowing.

I heard a test sound clip earlier of what sounded like a morphed audio combo of the original and new voices, saying "yes... yeeesss..."
It sounded really good, are you still going to use this?
And the idea of recreating the original scene with Ian sounds great, and the "yes, yeeesss" would fit that.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the Van Ling menus?

Something that's always bugged me about ESB are the scratches on the floor of the Falcon when Threepio is being dragged by artoo, leftover from previous takes.
Is this easily fixable? It's just always bugged me, and I noticed it even as a kid seeing it for the first time.

Oh well.

If the scene's been finalized yet, could you post a video clip of the holo-Emperor scene? That would probably get me (and a lot of others) really geeked out on your new ESB version...
Thanks for all the work on these ultimate editions!
