I think I am alright with the Joker's looks now, but the other day my friend showed me the teaser for Dark Knight, and in it it has the Joker talking. I cringed. Anyway, I should still reserve judgement till I see it. The voice will just be a matter of getting use to.

I was just thinking the other day that one of the reasons I didn't really like Spider-Man 3 much is that the Mary-Jane/Peter arc was essentially the same as it was in the second film with a few changes, IE Harry instead of John Jameson. She still ends up getting kidnapped again... again. Then of course she gets back together with Peter at the end again. I'd like to see a superhero film where the hero and his lady have a rock-solid relationship already and she supports him, helps him out, does some heroic stuff of her own, and doesn't get kidnapped to move the plot along.... Unless the abduction is an intentional attempt to infiltrate the villains' hide out.

That's what I liked about Rachel in BB. She was doing her own thing, uncovered Crane's secret, got gassed, got rescued, and from there helped get the antidote to Gordon. Much better than getting kidnapped/saved a la Vicki Vale/Chase Meridian/Mary Jane Watson. The character was pretty darn good. Wish she'd been played by Rachel McAdams all along, though. I'm not much more impressed with Maggie G than I am with Katie. They're not terrible actresses, but they are kinda meh. Like Twister said ... B actress surrounded by A talent.

I like that new Batsuit! Yeah!

Joker looks acceptable. We'll see how Ledger does with the performance!

Well, here's what Michael Caine had to say about Ledger...

"Heath Ledger stunned me" continues Caine. "Jack played The Joker as sort of a benign nasty clown - like a wicked uncle. Heath plays him like an absolutely maniacal murderous psychopath. You have never seen anything like it in your life. He is very, very scary. I turn up very month or so and do a couple of bits, then go back to London. I had to do this bit where Batman and I watch a video which The Joker sends to threaten us. So i'd never seen him, and then he came up on the television in the first rehearsal and i completely forgot my lines. I flipped, because it was so stunning, it was quite amazing. Wait until you see it, its incredible".

Yeah, I do too. The helmet in Batman Begins never seemed right to me, this one looks better I think. Though I am not quite sure about those two grey patches on his pecs. Looks kind of like he is wearing a skimpy gray bikini top over his batsuit.

There's less of his face showing in this new mask. Harder to tell who it is underneath.


They probably did that so that they COULD put other people in the suit and it wouldn't be too noticeable. Stunt men and the like.

Hmm those grey patches DO like like they are 'cupping' his breasts a bit. Otherwise looking good, Though I'm still weary about the Joker. I guess I'll wait till I see it all in the proper context.

He's still wearing buckets of black eyeliner tho, When does he find the time to stop and apply all that?

I REALLY HOPE THAT THEY DON'T INTRODUCE TWO FACE IN THIS MOVIE. THEY NEED TO SET UP THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN HARVEY DENT AND BRUCE WAYNE THIS TIME AROUND. THE CHANGE FROM DENT TO TWO FACE WOULD HAVE MORE OF AN IMPACT IF THEY WAIT TO DO THAT UNTIL THE THIRD MOVIE. THE LAST THING WE NEED IS ANOTHER SPIDER-MAN 3.

I would have liked to have had Dent in "Begins" and establish his friendship with Batman there, and then we could watch it develop in "Dark Knight".

This is looking good. I am looking forward to this film. Will Christopher Nolan make another one. I hope so.
