Yes I'm currently being quoted by Warb out of context (because he can only see the bits other people quote) and he his making snide remarks in his signature bar. Within the last few hours.

actually that not true,  the last I quoted you before you posted this, was multiple days ago, not a just within the last few hours.   It has also been more than 24 hours since I changed my sig.

As for possibly quoting you out of context, you should have thought about that before you forced me to put you on ignore.   When I see part of your post quoted by someone else and I wish to respond to it, I will, whether you want me to or not.  As far as I know I am not violating any forum rules.  If the mods tell me to stop, I'll stop.

As far as my "snide" remarks in my sig

1. I've had to take more than enough snide and rude remarks from you

2. how about you read the remarks and actually think about them with an open mind?

If discussions are a learning platform what's wrong with you getting a lesson.

the problem is, you seem think your purepose in this forum is to teach everyone else  lessons, and you never seem to want to listen to or  learn any lessons for yourself.

Really? ABC got a lot of stick for posting this picture. in the forum.

To his credit when it was explained to him how childish and counterproductive it was he took it down.

I suggest you learn from him if not from me.

It's perfectly okay for straight men to openly like Bette Davis and Musical Theatre these days. Times have changed.

It is also perfectly acceptable for you to enjoy pictures of Bea Arthur.

Somehow, I am not seeing my sig as childish as ABC's stuff was.   ABC has nothing to teach me.  He was an asinine troll.

Seeing as I was instrumental in getting him to take the offending item down. It's pretty much a matter of both.

You are just goading Warb now and pointlessly as he isn't saying anything offensive or damaging to anyone's health.

It's a counter productive pursuit.

He will just look justified in his position and you will look like the jerk he accuses you of being.

I've mocked the guy in the past but only when he is being vindictive to someone else.

I don't think you are a naturally vindictive person so my advice, should you wish to take it, is don't present the wrong impression of yourself and amend you last post and tell him you have disposed of his image.

... Yeah, I noticed Bkev reaction and was just logging in to edit my post.

See you next time, friend.

ABC did go too far but Gaffer Tape is a lovely chap and we don't hear much from him anymore do we?

But it okay you keep your sig just the way it is if it makes you a happier person.

I agree it isn't as childish, but it does undermine your supposed ignoring of Bingo when every post you make has a reminder of him in it.  Not to mention that you keep replying and responding.

I only reply and respond to part of his posts that others quote, and it is not supposed.  I am ignoring him.  I do not read his posts.

You're missing the point - if you are going to ignore him, stop acknowledging him (via your sig), and stop responding to him.

But what about when someone quotes him attacking me?   I shouldn't defend myself?

Were I you, I'd just refuse to read any quoted comments of his; I'd see his name and immediately scroll past to another post. After all, no news is good news, what you don't know can't hurt you, etc, etc.

In the unlikely event of me attacking anyone ignoring me it would be ridiculously petty of me to not allow them a stab back.

But if I'm making a post in a chain of conversation that only parts of which are visible one of the sacrifices of opting not to see the other parts is not being able to respond.

Besides it might seem like I'm attacking you out of context when I'm actually doing the opposite.

Clearly when ignoring me the best thing to do it to totally and utterly ignore me...including this post.

You should not.  Either ignore him for real, or don't ignore him.  Stop half-assing it.

No I'm saying he might read a comment out of context and in error come to the conclusion I'm attacking him or his religion or something he feels strongly about which has happened before.

There are two ways of avoiding this 1) Not ignore me and read the whole conversation or 2) totally ignore everything I say, including times when I am quoted by other people.

I don't think you can decribe what I'm doing as "half-assing" it.   I do not read his posts.  I don't see why I am wrong for responding when someone quotes him.  I truly don't see why I shouldn't defend myself.

before I go into my corner, I wish to say something.

It should obvious that Bingo and I can not get along.  Not having him on ignore is not an option.  If I couldn't do that, I would have to leave the forum.  I feel forced to put him on ignore.  That said, if someone quotes him, I feel I have the right to respond, especially if attacked.   True, I might misunderstand what he is saying because I am not reading his whole post.  But I feel that this is his fault because he forced me to put him on ignore in the first place.
