Mh... that link only takes me to your thread at FanEdit.org, and although boon23 posted that he's uploaded it to Rapidshare, he didn't provide any links. Neither does the RS-link page on FE.org contain it...

Uhm... what exactly works fine? Sure, the link on DVDHolocron works fine for me as well... but it doesn't take me to Rapidshare, but to your thread a FE.org... and there are no RS-links in that thread.

Do I misunderstand you?
Author

yes it leads to a thread on FE, but one started by boon in the RS part of the forum, where the links have been posted

Ah, now I see... the DVDHolocron has been updated, adding the info "you must be registered" to the link, so now I'm waiting for my account to be activated by boon.

I'm little late to the party. Let's, um, call it fashionably late.

Going up in the newsgroups now - alt.binaries.starwars, of course.

One day I found... 10 years had got behind me. Next day was worse.

Download  shows from Cable DVR (Updated! Yes, it needs a rewrite, but it's worth slogging through, anyway).

Due to Legal Reasons, the DVDHolocron does not link directly to any downloads. However, I do link to other sites that do contain those links (Torrent Trackers, FE.org's Rapidshare links, etc.). I want to thank FE.org and all the torrent trackers for having the balls to host links such as that... I apparently don't :-(

And daveytod, thanks for all the hard work on another great DVD, for contributing to the DVDHolocron, and for adding "you must be registered" to the FE.com RS links... I'm gonna start dropping that all over the site... will help avoid some confusion.

This stuff must be available for sale in shops in South Wales as Daveytod must have bought a tonne of the stuff to use on this film.............

I am not one of these OT vs PT people. For me, there was a film called Star Wars followed by 5 other films. Attack of the Clones was one of those films.

By itself, it was an OK kinda film with amazing effects but a bit lame in (many) places. As a sequel to the great Star Wars, it was a bit rubbish.

OCP and JD with their amazing releases had it easier than Daveytod. Better films, 25 years of documentaries, more reference books for films that are part of movie history. For Attack of the Clones, there was hardly any material at all.

For this reason, The Clones Revealed is an amazing release - talk about something out of nothing!!!

I knew about the differences between theatrical and DVD releases but just about everything else that Daveytod documents is all new to me.

Extra lines of dialogue and scenes that never made the film or DVD extras fit perfectly into this release.

Using comic book images to show these extra lines of dialogue is not new (I have seen that used before but not sure by who) but never to such a great effect.

Stills from the various publications out there all add to the story perfectly too.

My aim is to watch this again as I know I have missed things the first time around.

Well done 10/10

I got my copy and burned it, red dvd case make it look good with the cover. I'm already over 1:1 sharing ratio
And I've watched half of it. I like that kind of material. If I had one comment it would be that fast acceleration has been used on some of the making of video, which I don't like.

nearly everyone i've heard from so far has commented on the speeds, wether too fast, or too slow. Unfortunatly, Lucasfilm wasn't thinking of me when they made the various videos my clips come from . Therefore, sometimes I've had to stretch what was originally a 3 second glance into 10 seconds (Padme's pilot costume is a glaring example of this), othertimes I've sped things up just to at least show the process involved (such as the Apartment Block model).......but then of course, other times, I got it just right

I'm only a half hour in, but so far it's wonderful, being a complete spoiler fiend while the film was in production it's great to revisit all the behind the scenes stuff.

Although i'd hate to admit it but i'm going to have to recommend some of George's wisdom... "Faster More Intense" yes it's great to watch the whole movie again, but it's not necessary to have everything included. The point of the feature is the work which went into the film, so for me Clones Revealed lags a little (not much cus so far you've found clips or factoids for almost everything) when i feel i'm forced to sit through the movie itself without any added commentary or alternative footage i get slightly annoyed. i had this same problem with the other fan docs, so it's not worth worry about this point for more then a second.

Don't underestimate the cheesy fades, they could be used when you've got several picts of one of the sets (especially if they are from the same angle) or models and instead of just hard cutting or fading, use a cross fade or one of the other standard tools most video editing applications come with.

And maybe it's because of the software you used, why did you choose to have every image stand alone full on screen?

Also no references so far to the novel, did you choose to stay away from the novel since it was less canon then visual or audio evidence?

So far, bravo on the research, it's amazing how much stuff you've managed to work into this cut. Can't wait too see what you dug up on the battle sequences.

I just finished it. It turned out great. I don't know when I will actually watch the prequels again, but the "Revealed" trilogy will get a bit of play at my house. The speed was a little wacky at times, but I think you did a great job with what material was available.
Author
Time
I say the same. Except for those speed issues some people have mentioned, the final result is excellent. I'd have liked to have some more references to deleted scenes (Obi-Wan with examination droids, for example) but it's great anyway.

Will you "finish" someday "The Sith revealed"? After seeing this, it'd be great to have this other project completed!

Some of the deleted scenes I simply left alone as they can be found on the official release, and I had no further material on them, likewise some scenes from the movie proper I cut for the same reason (and in the case of the fireplace scene, simply because it's crap!).

As referred to by none, in places I simply had nothing to add, and have had to let the movie run it's course, but I did what I could to keep this to a minimum

I have created an NTSC trancode of this. It was a very difficult task, probably becuase of the many differnet video sources that were used to create the original. However, the nTSC version has an acceptable quality and is available via Rapidshare.

Nothing about fanediting is easy.
