Hi all,

still slaving away at this monstrosity. Too be honest, I've kinda lost my enthusiasm for the project and would much rather be doing one of my video game cutscenes movies (there's so many games to do!), but I shall persevere. Hopefully have this done by the autumn

Hi guys,

quick question for anyone who's still interested in this project.

I'm working on the Yoda/Dooku duel. From the first somersaults towards each other with sabers drawn I have a while segment with various BTS stuff, but should I show this first, followed by the finished sequence or vice versa which is how is stands now?

I think I'd put the finished scene in last. It seems a little anti-climactic the other way.

Hi all,

I'm going through the final QC check on the video now, but before I go adding subtitles and everything I want to send out a few copies for critique. Russs15 and Sluggo will be getting discs (if that's ok with you guys), but I want a coplue f others to volunteer.

This offer isn't for those hoping to get an early glimpse, but rather for those with a keen eye who can tell me what works and what dosen't so I can offer the best possible final product.

Please reply in the thread and we can work something out

Hey Daveytod, I would happily look over it for you. It might help take my mind off 'Returning to Jedi' for a couple of hours!

Nice on sluggo. Was going to give you a shout for official cover making duties. Here's what I had in mind. Maybe the same logo type as Sith but in a different colour, and using a clone trooper on the front with possibly an orangy or sandy coloured background

I know, I know, I'm slower than a snail with a broken shell.

I did burn the first test copy, but watching it back on my TV, I saw so much that needed changing I had to go back through the whole thing scene by scene. So once more, I'm working on it, but ever so slowly

Okay...I give up.....this is a formal declaration of defeat.

After months of dwindling enthusiasm on my part, I've officially had it with this project. I just can't seem to make it work as a watchable film, sure the set pieces all look great, and if I could think of a way to some how just link them and release it as something that had even an ounce of 'flow' to it then I would. However, I'm gonna propose something that I'm pretty sure has never happened on this forum (or maybe at all, where these kind of edits are concerned), and with the right result could maybe polish this turd to the point of brilliance...

.....I want someone to take over

What I have as it stands is a practically finished product that I'm just not happy with. I'm on my 3rd scene by scene run through and I'm still not happy. Like I said, the setpieces work fine, as do the reconstructed deleted/lost scenes, it's just the bits in between that annoy me. So I want one of you guys to take over. Believe me when I say, I'm happy to just abandon this and let it go by the wayside, but there are some bits, the speeder chase and the Yoda/Dooku fight for example, that are just sheer class (if I do say so myself), so I would just love it if someone could take the reins and maybe that new perspective will make this really come alive.

Like I said, I'm happy to let this die, but if someone wants it, it's and easy enough process to export what I have and send the disc to someon else to finish off.

Any volunteers?

I am not volunteering but am sorry to hear that you cannot take this project to a satisfactory conclusion - you have obviously set your standards too high!!!!!!!

Hopefully someone will take this project on and release in the future.

I also look forward to seeing any further work that you release as well.

How much of the movie were you planning to cover? 75%? I ask because if it was a small number, maybe you could just change the format of the project and release it that way.

Hi guys,

Right, I've isolated a small portion of the film to give some idea of where this project was heading, and I'd like to upload it. Problem is that its 363mb (12 minutes or so). What would be the easist place to upload this too (avoiding torrents if poss)

Daveytod, this is sad to see that you are giving up, you must feel it's your own project and all. But I guess you know what you are talking about and I hope you will get support by other pro from the board. I support you in your decision if this is what you want, for the best of the preservation projects

Youtube file size limit is 100 mb max and there is a lenght max too I think it's 10 minutes? And yes, it changes the quality to make it streamable. Keep in mind that torrent is the future!
