We got this place called cheese cake magic near us.

Cheesecake at Outback is good, but there's also a place within 10 miles of us called Stockbridge. Little hole-in-the-wall type bakery, but you can cut the cake with dental floss (and they give you some to do it with!). Awesome stuff.

I did this recipe over the weekend, hence the start of the cheesecake craze everyone's had lately...

Philadelphia Brand New York Cheesecake

easiest recipe, with the best cheesecake. if you want to add a bit of chocolate, or maybe a half shot of your hard liquor of choice (rum!) it ends up tasting excellent! last time we put some peach wine in it and it was unbelievable. the next cheesecake we are going to put a capful of 151 with a bit of pineapple juice. should be tasty. i'll let you all know on sunday.

I go to Alexander's or Calories for my cheesecake. Both are local places, and Alexander's is the only place where I can sit down and watch a hockey game with a cold beer and cheesecake.

Calories is a wonderful little place on Broadway here in Saskatoon. I tend to go for either coffee and a creme brule or cheesecake and dessert wine.

some of that stuff is way too gourmet for me.. just deep fry anything in lard and i'll be happy..
