Are you planning on cutting it with the 35mm scan, or will the 16mm be as it is? Down for a dono either way!
Long time no see!
I just won a 16mm print of The Brave Little Toaster. This will be scanned in the US at 5K which will be a much higher resolution than the 3.5K scan I had of the 35mm print and this print may have fewer splices and damage which could make it a better source for missing frames and possibly a cleaner scan in general. My final “raw” 35mm release used the PAL DVD to replace splices and missing frames so this will be a much better source!
The cost of the print was 200 EUR and I am still awaiting the shipping cost. This print will be shipped from Germany so the shipping price will likely be quite high.
Anyone interested in helping out please shoot me a private message and I will put down a list of contributors

UPDATE 8/4/2024 2:50 PM EST:
I wanted to thank all the people pitching in so far. We already almost reached the goal of paying off the entire print’s costs, shipping, and other taxes or fees. Those who have already donated will of course get the scan once it is ready and I will be putting any excess towards scanning costs which will be updated in this thread once the time comes.
I also wanted to say this will likely be the last project I put out on Original Trilogy but I thank all the people who have helped me with my projects on these forums and supported these scans.

If it’s not prying too much, can you tell us why you’re putting this behind you (is it here only, or other places also)? I can’t help but wonder if it’s akin to TVArchive and a few others leaving out of some form of being fed up with being nagged too much or similar, or maybe it’s more like you’ve personally simply done all the projects you wish to do—are sated—and that’s that?
LightWave = fun times with gfx for me 😃

I don’t think these forums are fit for my projects anymore with leaks, people begging me for scans when they aren’t finished, etc. I respect the community that has helped me in the past and now, but with this forum being open to everyone it makes it hard to get support without bad actors taking advantage of that kindness.
As of yesterday, the print has been shipped. No ETA on when it will be here, but should be around 1-2 weeks give or take

Thanks for the reply to that, the info, the feeling…
May the BLT print be all you want and more when it arrives 😃

Update 8/16/2024: Still waiting for the print to get shipped. Right now it’s been going through customs so it’s taking a while. I don’t want to give a concrete ETA, but I’m guessing we might need to wait for September at the latest. Hoping things speed up soon.
Update 8/19/2024: The package has landed in New York. It should reach the scanner any day now (I’d give it another week or so). I’ll give another update when it reaches it’s destination or if there are any issues.
Update 8/21/2024: THE PACKAGE HAS BEEN DELIVERED! Will give updates as soon as I can on scanning. I silently closed donation until I knew for sure it was delivered but if anyone wanted to pitch in you can now.
DM’d you about donating but didn’t get a response.

I’m pretty sure not including “WIP” or “Unfinished” doesn’t help things. People “begging” you, is not that big of a deal… as long as digital comments don’t cause you physical harm.

Listening to this kid cry like a little girl on this forum that people are “begging” him for a scan about a cartoon toaster makes me laugh.
