Ok, if we are letting it all out then -

In ANH C3PO is kind of an asshole. He clearly did not give a fudge about R2 when Luke was taking him home together with that other droid. After all they've been through he just looked back at R2 and didn't say ANYTHING, he just looked away. Like, "Sucks to be you, bro! I guess I'm lucky!".

You can say, "But, hey, when that red droid broke down C3PO recommended to take R2 instead!", but that's bullcrap! He should have said "I ain't going anywhere with my techno-friend!" as soon as Uncle Owen decided to take him.

But instead - he had a chance to flee from Jawas and he took it and left his best friend behind - alone in a desert, kidnapped by a bunch of weird little Sidiouses.

What a douche!

But then later he tries to give an impression that he's friends with R2 - he tells Luke how they both survived Clone Wars and then he's worried about R2 not coming back from the space fight over Yavin... It doesn't make any sense!

It's not exactly a big deal and I could come up with my own explanation why C3PO didn't act when he had to, but it's just something to consider.

Regarding the stormtroopers issue, it would be logical if they had blue blasters, but there's a thing with colours and weapons in the saga. And me too think it would be nice to show something, anything that connect them with PT clonetroopers besides being white. I said in another thread I'd love to see like a "collection" of "oold republic" clonetrooper and stormtrooper helmets in that imperial council inside DS, stating how militarized the Empire was.

There's also one thing I notice in ANH about stormies, even in ESB but not in ROTJ, their helmets, seem to be wide, or something I dont know, but I can tell ROTJ stormtroopers look almost as broad-shouldered and proportioned as PT cg clones. Of course this would be an almost impossible work to do, but still I couldn't help saying it.

I like how you put red in there. The whole place looks more menacing.

LOL. Yeah... It looks like Luke went over to Tosche Station and picked up some Spray Tan. XD But that's not main thing here. DS looks cool.

It might be nice to give these huge internal caverns a more cathedral like lighting effect (rough mockup follows) :

While we are on the subject where are the foreground objects in the bottom shot supposed to be in the top shot?

This is also an interesting idea. Also it would be cool to see something happening behind those walls -

Love the last mock up, looks like PT, and still, very OTish... I stand for blue in that scene's foreground since cores and energy seems to be related with blue in the saga.

Actually... red does look pretty darn impressive. But so does blue... Damn it!

That's amazing.

It reminds me of the lights on the Close Encounters mother ship.

It might make the effect even more interesting if there were some pulses and twinkles in the same manner.

It still looks very seventies and analogue but more full of life and the impression of space is enhanced.

There are some similar slit shapes on the other side that are not lit.

It might be nice to add some life to those too.

I would be interested in seeing those pod things inserted into the wider matte and have some clue how they are supported.

Red looks fine but it might be interesting to add some Forbidden Planet style electricity arcs and sparking sounds.

Another idea I had was having those little mouse droids able to ride up walls and across ceilings like rats adding a creepy dungeon feel to the place.

i liked the internal travel network that was in the Malevolence in clone wars. perhaps something like that could be worked into it.

I know Darth Editous has made a new camera projection establishing shot of Obi-Wan's home, but I just don't like the new SE inserts of Mos Eisley & Ben's home.
