1: I don't base all my decisions on what others think, I'm just doing it this once
2: They may not give a rat's ass about me, but I believe some of them do care about the forum community as a whole. I care about the forum community as well.

I put a ton of thought into my answer, Warb. I wrote a rather long and time consuming post expressing how I felt about the subject. I doubt many of those other yeas or nays had anywhere near as much thought put into them than my first post in this thread. But since it wasn't a definitively positive or negative stance being taken, it didn't count towards the vote.
If I had created a poll(just like you can on other forums), would how you felt have counted in the poll? No. I am seriously considering what you've said, but I wanted this to work like a poll. If I had had the capability, I would have created a poll, but since that is not possible, I am trying make this work as closely to a poll as possible. In a poll, only the Yeas and Nays would count(assuming that those are the only voting options I created). Therefore only the Yeas and Nays count here.

I think that would be taking things a bit too far. Not to meant that such topic in those sections, would be off section. Off topic is the appropriate place for this thread. I also didn't want to junk up the political thread itself anymore than I already had, hence the creation of a new thread.
