Terrible... absolutely terrible. You've lost the balance, used unmatching fonts and generally screwed it up completely.

ADM, I'm not sure if you've dusted off you're editing software in preparation for Episode III yet, but you might find these comments useful on the DVD deleted scenes....

http://www.millenniumfalcon.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=136017#136017

Seems like some of the scenes are not 100% complete (i.e animatics, green screen), hope you can work your magic and find a way round this.

Scenes like the Yoda/Dagobah scene (which is a finished scene as far as I'm aware) will look ace when incorporated back into the movie.

If its anything like your other edits it will be class, grabbing Ep 5 off a.b.starwars tonight (Mucho pints go to Segaflip!).

Well, after reading the full list of deleted scenes I have one thing to say:

Anybody know Liam Neeson in hopes of getting him to record the voiceover for me?

Just dust off his collected works and get to work. Heheh.

He's actually done an audio book called 'How the Irish Saved Civilization'. Bet there's some good soundbites in there that could be ripped.

Not sure if a strong Irish accent would fit with Ep III tho...

There must be a way...

In regards to fan edits, I have a few ideas on how to incorporate Qui-Gon into the prequels more, not just his one scene in RotS.

"Batman Begins" is an excellent source for possible Qui-Gon dialogue.
Author
Time
Just found out he also did an audio book of the Polar Express, anyone any idea what words he would have to say? I doubt the word jedi is going to be in there somehow...

p.s. if you think I'm clutching at straws please tell me...

Well the "beauty" if you want to call it that, of this is that we can have Qui-Gon say whatever we want. Of course, we want to keep the general idea, but you get the idea.

What I think everyone is forgetting is that Yoda has dialogue in this scene as well, as it is a conversation between the two. And though I'm sure it was completed, I doubt it will ever be released without Qui-Gon's dialouge officially inserted into the film.

What dialog, if any, did he say regarding immortality in Batman Begins. That is an EXCELLENT place to start.

Assuming we have the dialog in a good 5.1 mix where the speaking is in the center channel with no music or FX it'll be a cinch to move the dialogue.

What about other movies? Rob Roy (which I've never seen)?

I expect both BB and Ep III as Christmas presents so I'll be renting or borrowing until that point. I intend to start the moment the material is available.

These lines are in the tutorial from the Batman Begins PS2 game "Ninjitsu will make you invisible and immortal in the minds of your enemies" and "If you run you will be discovered easily; stealth is your greatest ally". He recorded a fair bit of voice over for the game's tutorial mode.

I'll have a go ripping his voice sound files from the game's DVD.

Anyone out there have ADM's Spoofs disc that they might want to trade for something? I would love to get my hands on this.

Let me know what you find. The "run and you will be discovered" is contrary to what Yoda and Ben actually do, but if I can find a suitable match of the word "or" this will work great. "Run, or you will be discovered."

Even goes well with "Run, Luke, Run!"

Dialogue along those lines would work well at the end of the Sidious/Yoda fight. (this was discussed in the Episode 3: Fan Editing Discussion in Geneal Star Wars Discussion)

Other dialouge we can play around with:
"You lack the will to do what us necesarry."
"Your anger gives you great power, but if you let it, it will destroy you."
"Vengeance."
"Justice is balance."
"I warned you about compassion, Bruce."
"We can teach you how to dissapear."
"Yes but is Ra's A Ghul Immortal? Are his methods, supernatural?"
There are many more I'm sure, I can't think of ALL of them right now; Neeson's character was much like a dark Qui-Gon.

Kingdom of Heaven would also be a goos source.

Ripping the sounds from the DVD is going to be a pain in the ass. Can rip sounds from the game's movies but not 'in-game' sounds.

Just played through the tutorial and there are some useful words such as "wisdom" "path" and "immortality".

When I get time I'll write the dialogue out then post it on here. The if there's any useful words I could DAT the speech then sample it on the pc. That plus film dialogue should give a good head start.

Technically, you can include AOTC as well. His voice was used in it, after all!

I wonder if I can find a way to use the line "It's mine ain't it? I can go out and take a piss on it if I want to." from Next of Kin. The West Virginia accent is the topper.
