A very kind soul from these newsgroups managed to supply me with a dual layer version of ADM's Episode 4, is there any chance someone else can do the same for the dual layer versions of ADM's Eps 5 and 6?

I'm more than happy to reimburse for media/postage or alternatively PIF.

Just finished downloaded it, and it's definitly worth buying some DL disc (this will be the first DL burn i do so i hope it works out!!!)

are all the other versions also being posted the same way ?

Heresy mix is quality ADM.

When Obi-Wan appears, and the easter egg at the end were two stand out bits.... LOL'd on more than one occasion...

Glad to hear it's being enjoyed. Wasn't sure if it'd piss people off or make them laugh. The latter was the intended effort, but I called it "Heresy" because I suspected the former might happen. I didn't totally go overboard either. It's great that you can sometimes go five minutes without an interruption, just getting you back into the film, then you get another one.

Chalk it up to years of watching MST3K.

There isn't much difference in I, II and V when it comes to SL vs DL. DL maintains the original, unrecompressed picture quality from the source disc, but that's about it. VI has two other audio tracks and the unrecompressed video as well, but they're merely stereo and commentary options from the source disc. IV is the only one that has genuine audio benefits in the form of all those different audio mixes. The 1997 mix that Neil S. Bulk dug up is a gem. I just felt that IV needed some extra-special treatment.

"uncompressed picture quality from source disk" Exactly why I want them DL is great because you can either burn them as such, or reencode them to DVD5 as you wish - as many passes as you like, removing streams, etc...

Well...I have plans to go out of town this weekend, so...

I am posting Ep4-6 single layer to abs while I am gone, it should start posting around midnight or so if all goes well. I will be out of town so if it stops posting my computer fucked up but I will fix it sunday night.

Great work ADigitalMan. Just got the dual layer edition for Episode 4 and I am very pleased with what I see. Its amazing how George Lucas and his crew working on a big fat budget can't do the job right yet a bunch of lowly unpaid people can. Maybe George needs to fire who he has now and bring folks like you and Darth Editous to work for him.

Perhaps there is still hope.....
