thanks Jay for the advice on the OPPO player,this thing is friggin awesome,and now i can play multi-region dvd's,though OPPO cant tell you how to directly,but i got the hack info,and easy to do,it is nice watching dvd's upconverted to use ALL 62 inches of my Widescreen TV.

wow, that player looks just like what i was looking for. PAL and NTSC and it plays divx/xvid and mpeg file formats.

I dont really need the high end outputs as I only have a basic tv and prob wont get (be able to afford) anything all that great for a while anyway. Id take them anyway, but id also settle for a slightly cheaper version that didnt have the upscaling and high end video outputs.

if you get one DS you will need the hack to unlock the multiregion,i tried playing Citizens Xvids on it and they come up,i select what i want to watch,but then only sound,i talked to OPPO about it and they said it only plays straight Xvids and Divx no Hybrids,they also told me if i send them a sample they can see what to change to make it work,this place has very good customer service,they answer emails almost immediately,and this player can be firmware upgraded ny the user,very nice
