Why do you choose the version that shows the most information? As illustrated above, that may not always be the directors intent. A Fish Called Wanda is also a perfect example of this.

T3 is indeed Super35... don't know where you heard otherwise.

You are a very frustrating individuel. Its like you only read what you want to hear. I just said I did the test and it is soft matted. I didn't hear it from anyone I tested it myself.

As to the DVD issue, well, after looking over it, I'm going to have to say the director simply reframed the DVD version for his own personal reasons. Fincher did the same thing with Se7en.

He reframed a couple scenes, yeah. He talks about it on the DVD.
QuoteShut up Jimbo you stupid idiot. I suppose you'd prefer the un-matted version of The Princess Bride too?

The effects shots were framed in 1.85 and both versions are equally cropped. All non effects shots were filmed in 1.33. As the example shows widescreen versions shows the least. The fullscreen version is actually the orginal aspect ratio. Its how the movie was filmed in.

Now I know you like winding people up on this site Jimbo, you've just confirmed it with that statement about the ending of T3. How was it emotional? How was it well done? It was absolutely, f***ing shocking, a complete set up for T4.
You make me laugh you annoying little bastard.......
The ending was geneous you annoying little fucker. It was very well done. Certainly alot better then Terminator 2s retarded lowering into the lava. Thats the stupidest ending. If I were John I would have dismantled him and examined him for weaknesses to prepare for the days I would have to fight them. Anything was better then lowering it into the level. Arnolds death scene in Terminator 3 made much more sense. Plus the line "You are Terminated" was very cool as was the T-Xs not me look. She just don't look so pretty without her skin.

and I don't understand why filmmakers use super 35 in the first place. It's grainier and looks really sloppy on the final out. It just doesn't make much sense to shoot something and then have to re-frame it later. The shot should be properly framed before one frame of film is even exposed.
