Anyone have problems dealing with "Fanfiltration" before?

Look, I do not want to start trouble, but it goes like this.

One February 6 I sent Fanfiltration 2 blank DVD-R's for his DUNE edit, plus return shipping.

It took him a while, but I finally received them back a week and a half ago. Probelm is, there is no part 1. DVD 2 is fine, but DVD 1 has no movie on it. Just his WARNING not to sell. I ripped the DVD to my hard drive to be sure.

I've PM'd him twice and heard no response.

This is very rude, unless he has some kind of situation that prevents him from getting online.

Is this normal for him? I've sent out a dozen SUSPIRIA DVD's in the last two months and always sent them as quickly as humanly possible. I communicate a great deal as well, since I want people I deal with to be happy.

THIS IS REALLY A PRIVATE MATTER BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU, AND REALLY SHOULD NOT BE ADDRESSED PUBLICALLY. I WILL SAY THAT FANFILTRATION IS PRETTY WELL RESPECTED IN THE PRESERVATION FORUMS, AND I HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH HIS EDITS. IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE AUTHORIZATION PROCESS OF THE FIRST DISC. I'VE SENT A DISC LIKE THAT OUT BEFORE WITHOUT KNOWING. MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO SEND THE BAD DISC BACK TO HIM WITH A NOTE STATING THE PROBLEM WITH THE DISC. I'M SURE THAT HE WILL REPLACE IT WITHOUT QUESTION. YES, IT SUCKS THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING AGAIN, BUT HE HAS BEEN A VERY STAND UP GUY AND REFUNDED SHIPPING BEFORE. I'M NOT SAYING THAT HE WILL DO THAT FOR YOU, BUT YOU MAY WANT TO REQUEST IT IN THE NOTE.

I am sure FF will square things up with you,but there is alot of this kind of stuff going on,bad deals,people NOT sending things they say they will,etc.hell it has happened to me alot(NOT by FF LOL),but generally you figure out WHO you can deal with and WHO you shouldnt,but for the MOST part the people here are stand up guys.
also i was 1 of the guys you sent SUSPIRIA to,and it was in PERFECT working order and very fast delivery,so Matt_Stevens is a stand up guy.

Psycho_Dayv, I got permission to post this topic here after repeated communication attempts with fanfiltration went unanswered. So far he is NOT a standup guy. I waited months for the DVD and when I got it and informed him it was missing the actual content it was supposed to have, he ignored me. I have sent him half a dozen PM's with no answer.

I had heard nothing but good things about Fanfiltration, but so far my experience has been terribly disappointing.

Just because he hasn't responded doesn't mean he's ignoring you. Some people (not me, but some people) have a life outside the internet.

Yeah, but if he's offering products and services to other forum members, he has a responsibility to them and needs to respond. Especially when someone spent money to send him media to have copies made. Effectively, it's theft. More specifically, it can be considered wire fraud. Not that it needs to be taken to this level, but you can't be so flippant about it, either. He promised something and didn't deliver. He needs to take responsibility for his actions and make things right.
