The hairy_hen 5.1 doesn't have problems syncing to this? I assumed there would be too many frame differences throughout, especially around the reel changes.

So who's going to take the Grindhouse version and clean it up themselves?

Change "Sorted by" from best to new (it's just above the comment box). This only works on a thread level as Reddit is really not that well suited to a forum style dialogue.

That just sorts it so the most recently created threads are at the top. I'd like to be able to see new replies without having to open up every single thread and skim it.

Reddit Enhancement Suite show the number of comments added since you last visited a post on the subbreddit page. (If you don't have RES, it's practically a necessity.)

This userscript apparently seems to highlight new comments since you last visited a post: http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/157032

I haven't used it, but it might suit your purposes. Reddit is unfortunately not well suited to small, fourm-like dialogue.

How do you get an invite to myspleen?

Just discovered this thread and I have to say that I am absolutely mind blown by the work of Team Negative1.

The work being done is the greatest gift. Thank you!

Now I have to find a 1080p version :)

It seems impossible to get an invite at MySpleen. Tried it myself, and as seeing as there are far too many requests, I doubt I´m getting my hands on the color-corrected version (for a newbie it is hard to prove that you will seed it when you got it).

My last chance is Usenext, if only one would make it possible to share it there.

What color correction are you talking about? as far as I know, the grindhouse edition, both mkv and blu ray ISO have the same correction applied.

And as for the screening version they posted lately, I think the grindhouse version looks WAY better.

the grindhouse mkv version is still available on usenet.

Oops, my bad then... Appearantly I thought I read that the color corrected version was already released. Obviously I mixed it up with the ISO version -.-

I found a version on Torrent in 720P but it appears to be a re-encode... I noticed a pulsating red orb in the middle of the screen in most dark scenes. Mostly visible during space sequences.

Is this orb in the Team Negative1 release as well?

See screenshot, I have increased the brightness so you can see the orb better.

If you're talking about my GOUT/HARMY synced version (at 720p), no technical flaws were introduced, yes that's how it looks in the original release. It also has the pixelation at the end, I haven't even bothered to download the corrected version yet as to me that's really trivial and adds to the overall charm of the release.

I just got around to checking out the grindhouse release and, all things considered, it was amazing!

If it looks this good with minimal processing, I cant wait to see the fully armed and operational version!

Lucasfilm should really be ashamed of themselves for putting out the GOUT.

It's not worth cleaning up the Grindhouse version, unless it the last couple of reels. We have much better sources to work with.

We have an internal copy with some replacement scenes, but even that can be improved.

If you feel like doing it, please post your results for others to see.

Having downloaded the MKV it does not work in my SmartTV unfortunately. Is it using a codec or something which prevents playing it? Has anyone else had this problem, is there a work-around or something? I've been waiting a long time to watch this so any advice would be helpful.

LexX, also make sure you're not seeding the same file you're trying to play.  My TV or BD player will report a codec error if I'm seeding the file in a torrent at the same time I'm trying to play it.

If you downloaded the original 4:2:2 version, that is why it won't play on your Smart TV.
