Freakazoid is a no and pretty sure the new He-Man is a no also. TVShowsOnDVD Great site, join it. Allows you to vote for shows that you want to come out on DVD if they aren't out already. Let's you vote for them to come out as Single DVDs, Season Boxed Sets or Best Of. Tells you when they are coming out and other good stuff. I definitely reccomend it.

I'm mad... very mad. I know - I mean I know for a fact, that when The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles are released on DVD, they will be those 22 re-edited films. Now, keep in mind, I don't have a problem with the film edited versions. I have several of them on tape, and thoroughly enjoy them, but I want old Indy back, dammit! I much prefer the episodic format, as it gives it more of a serial-type feal like Lucas was shooting for with Indy in the first place. Now, I understand his reasoning for editing them into films, but I know for a fact that it wasn't his "original vision" in this case. If it was his original vision, he would have made them that way in the first place. He can't blame this on technology, this is simply him changing his mind.

So, I wanted to make note here a group of Indy fans over at theraider.net have got together and are planning a preservation project for the original, unedited episodes of the series. They even list OT.com as part inspiration for the project! They are doing this on the presumption (based on Lucas's track record) that he will not trelease the unedited episodes.

I am behind them all the way on this.

My brother did not get me The Shield sets on DVD for Christmas. C'est la view. However, we are now up to date on Seinfeld, Scrubs, and 24. My wife decided one day she wanted to start watching 24 and we started buying and watching the sets. We are about a third of the way through season 4 right now and have season 5 TiVo'd for the time being so we can wait to watch it after we finish watching the past seasons. We started watching season 1 a month ago. That's how much 24 we've been watching lately.

Oh, and I only spent about $22 total for all four seasons brand new.

My wife categorically refuses to watch "24" any way other than on DVD. I introduced her to season 1 on DVD. She tried to watch season 2 as it aired, but got fed up with 3-5 week gaps between episodes. For season 3, we started it after dinner on Friday evening and watched it until we went to bed about 2 am. The next day, we started the 3rd disc over breakfast and only stopped for bathroom and food breaks, finishing up just over 24 hours after it began.

I would probably buy a TV series, if it was a great show, even if it was produced direct-to-video. I MUCH prefer watching good show with no commercials and at a time convient to my schedule.

Man I have lots too, especially animated series. I need to make a list.

I HAVE ALL FOUR SEASONS. IT'S BEEN TAKING ME FOREVER TO WATCH THEM ALL THOUGH. I'M CURRECTLY ON DISC ONE OF SEASON THREE.

At least last season and this one have been "non stop" seasons with new episodes each week. I did watch season 3 on TV and it frustrated the hell out of me to miss so much time when eps weren't airing.

DVD is a great way to watch it.

I desperately want Star Wars: Droids and Star Wars: Ewoks on DVD. Hopefully, they'll get "the treatment" in 2007.

The treatment they have now sucks... badly. It's only a few episaodes... re-edited together. I want the complete series. And Droids was just as good as Clone Wars, IMHO. BUt, overall, I thought the two series were cool, and deserving of a complete DVD treatment like ST:TAS is getting later this year.

Adam, is your opinion ever humble?

Ok, that was mean.

Not that I apologise. Just stating a trend.

On topic, though, the only shows I have on DVD are the first two sets of Family Guy (which, in retrospect, weren't a great purchase) and Season 1 of the new BSG. I do agree, though, that after watching a series on DVD, it's so hard to watch it broadcast. I'm finding that with season 2 of BSG, which just started a few weeks ago in Canada, and is going once a week for 20 weeks

Well, whether or not my opinion is humble is left up to one's own opinion.

But... HEY LUCAS, MCCALLUM! RELEASE DROIDS AND EWOKS! NOW!

That doesn't sound very humble at all.

Well, IMO, they both added something to the SW universe, and did it in a mature way. Plus, they both had appearances by some of the cooler film characters. CW had Grievous and all the main guys, Droids had IG-88, Boba Fett, and the Max Rebo band. And ven though the Droids series could be a little silly at times, I have always found it quite entertaining and an enjoyable look at Star Wars.

But I can't quite say the same thing for Ewoks...

The only cool episode of Ewoks was the final one (Battle for the Sunstar), where the Empire first discovers Endor.

Yeah, I know. But SW doesn't have to always be completely serious.
