Idea & Info: THX "WOW!" Laserdisc

A few years ago a friend my that uses to own a company that sold home audio and tv’s gave me all his laserdisc and a player (player has sibnces died ) and in it there was a Laserdisc titled just “THX” on the covttom “NO FOR RESALE - FOR DEMONSTRATON USE ONLY” I asked my friend what this was, he told me it was a disc they uses to show off how laserdisc looked and sounded and it ran on a loop every day playing chapter 1-3 on side one and sometime they play side 2 chapter 4 but thats all…but he told me chapters 5-20 they uses when they setup a new sound system at the shop or at someone house that expanes why its a bit beat up the spine is split a bit and the back got a few scuffs but the laserdisc it great…

ANYHOW I am posting here to see if anyone that has this is there anyway of puuting everything thats on the Laserdisc to DVDR ?

It was great for testing and seting up my sound systems when I had the laserdisc player but since I do not have one anymore I would love to know if anyone like I said that owns this and knows how to make LD to DVD can they make it ???

This used to be on Myspleen.net as a torrent, but not sure if it is still there and what the name was. I have it on DVDr. If you cant download and burn the files PM me and we can work something out.

I don't know if there's much to gain by getting a DVDr version of this except as a "preservation" for reference purposes, or if the content of those demo chapters are coveted by fan editors. There are plenty of other DVDs out there that can calibrate your system, like the Digital Video Essentials DVDs and the THX Demo DVDs.

There was also a legitimate DVD release of this. I've got it. It's most notable for the lovely "Soundtrack!" segment featuring some raw footage from Star Wars, Empire and Indiana Jones, which wound up in Deleted Magic. The "Wow!" montage is also quite fun.

A lot of people here have this in some form.
