Hi all, Long time lurker here, I recently obtained ADYWAN's brilliant AVCHD editions of EPIV and EPV. They are fantastic!

I know there is no ADYWAN release of Ep VI yet but has anyone else made a DVD9 AVCHD of Jedi? I tried the usual places (tehparadox, where I got the other two) but can't find one. I already have an MKV release but my Oppo BDP-83 plays it back terribly pixelated (I think it was encoded in the wrong profile) wheras it plays the AVCHD's flawlessly.

Do I have any other options?

I've downloaded 38 parts of Episode IV, and I used the password "Adywan" and it didn't work. Is there more than 38 files, or maybe the password has changed? I'm getting password incorrect!

Yes; there are 38 parts excluding the md5.  A password error is often the result of a broken rar.

I put the password in and hit extract I have over 400 files extracting, what the!

I am baffled by this.  You'll have to find someone who is good with Macs.

You have told me that the md5 says your files are fine, so there shouldn't be a problem.  (I have to go now man.  Let me know how it turns out.  Sorry I couldn't be more help.) :-(

I finally did it! I had to extract twice win Macrar, once with all the 38 files, and the second time with the 500 or so files. Now I have the ISO file. Thanks for the help guys! :)

Oh my God, the quality on the Episode IV download is amazing, thank you!

I also downloaded Episode V ISO 1080p file off a torrent a month ago. My question is, is there less quality in a file downloaded from bittorrent than from compiled from rapidshare files? Here's the size of the Episode V bittorent file I downloaded.

8.45 GB on disk (8,448,704,512 bytes)

There is no reason why the extracted file of any release should be different in size if downloaded by a different means, unless it has been tampered with.  Newsgroup collections frequently appear bigger owing to the presence of recovery records, but the fie size after extraction should be the same in all cases.

That's exactly same size as 2008 usenet file, believed to be straight from the horse's mouth.
Its CRC is F1D6220C.
Match that and you can be quite confident there's not "less quality."
If your CRC is different then all bets are off.

 

Where would I find the CRC in the file?

I would love to download Episode 3 in 1080p. Does any of you have a suggestion to what is the best quality download that will fit on a dual layer DVD?
