A friend of mine told me that the reason Kevein Smith went against his 'no more Jersey movies' is because Jason Mewes was so cracked out he said 'if you stop the drugs, I'll let you be Jay again'. Anyone know if there's any truth in that?

Yeah, it is the truth. Not so much that he would play Jay again as it was just that KS would let him work in another one of his movies. Kev never specified what the role would be.
