As said in the thread for my project, I'd like to have my Skywalker Legacy (I've really gotta come up with a better name....) project included if I can have it done in time. Time will likely be against me however.

speaking of friday the 13th, i just finished part 5 in the series. i am hard pressed to say, but i think i like part 5 the best, so far. i started watching 6, but it was starting to get late, so i turned it off and went beddy bye.

pretty good flicks, altogether. only if you are into that sort of thing, though.

I had a fresh idea for a film to do. I'm gonna keep mum on it until I decide on whether or not to do it. It'll be a worthy one, though.

I'm very pleased with my edits so far, but I'm not doing them for the contest.
I'll happily enter them, of course! But I'm doing them to make the best Star Wars version possible, not to win a contest!

Except ROTJ... they really botchered it good. It still won't be very good. I cant really change most of the things I want to change...

My question is how long do we have to judge these films? I received three films from ADM yesterday... Ep 1 and Ep 2 edits as well as Hannibal. Please, God, may Hannibal be better. The original film (and book) sucks so bad.

Since I've been using the PiF system to get things to the judges, artwork hasn't been included in the physical shipment. However, Boba Feta has been designing the artwork for these releases and has done some amazing work. What is the best way to get the soft files to the judges for consideration with the edits?

Also, bonus materials for the two prequels will be coming separately. I'll probably get you the OT reedits, though I doubt they're worthy for much consideration, since they're little more than de-SE projects. Still, it'll be better to consider the saga as a whole.

I've decided on one more non-SW film to submit. Haven't started it yet, but it'll be a doozy when I'm done *if* I can make a good film out of it. Stay tuned on this mystery project.

P.S. Bossk, I hope you do like Hannibal, though if you hated the first one, I don't know if this one will be a redemption or not. I had a love-hate relationship with the original, but I really dug what I did with "Desserts." Hopefully it'll work for you.

I'm definitely interested in the contest. Prepping fan edits of ROTS, matrix sequels to be cut into one good sequel, and the LOTR trilogy, as well as revising my AOTC re-edit from 2002.

What are you guys using to capture the dvd footage? I just have a canopus analog convertor running from my dvd player, but is there a way to rip the footage directly?

I'm using a mac G5 and finalcut 4.5

I think I've resolved my technical issues.

Another fan edit I'm going to attempt besides the prequels, LOTR and the matrix sequels, is to take Batman Begins and remove Katie Holmes from it completely. I have a strange suspicion that can be done without disrupting the plot in any way. its more to satisfy a curiousity then anything else.

how come there is no separate thread for anyone to leave a review on any of the star wars fan releases, and there are many.
