Yeah, I'm sure I'll enjoy watching this version. Always fun to see what people have done.

The disc and cover art are quite nice -- although perhaps too nice. Because this came into Canada without a return address, and apparently without a Customs form identifying it as a gift (which it was, I presume, since I didn't even know it was coming), it has been opened by Customs, assigned a value of CAD$20.04, and my parents (the home-during-the-day residents of the address you shipped to) have been charged a quite-astonishing CAD$9.51 in taxes, handling fees, and duties. If you were feeling in a generous mood, you could e-mail me (address below) and I'd hook you up with some PayPal account details...

Boon, you may also note that I didn't receive this disc until two weeks after someone else (Bizzle?) reported getting his. So I think there's some evidence that it's not just my slowness in viewing that has contributed to the overall delay of the contest. Post Offices and international mail sometimes suck.

BTW, DAYV, is this an official entry, or should it be considered merely for interest's sake? I'll judge it the same as the others (even if unofficially), but if it's unofficial, I'll get around to watching it last.

You are all posers, unless you can tell me what instrumental TV theme I am thinking of, as a proud and patriotic Canadian.

Good guess, but nope. I said patriotic, dammit! (Hint: third word is "in".)

Well done. You must be a) Canadian; b) from Detroit, Minnesota, or North Dakota; or c) particularly perceptive on your trips to Canada.

I didn't realize until I lived in Japan just how much unique Canadian stuff there is, that nobody else really knows about. Or cares about, I suppose. Want another example (for people who lived through the '80s)?

Fill in the blanks: Gino ______, "Black ____ look _____ in the _____."

Unless you're Canadian, I suspect right about now you're thinkin', "Huh?"

(Amazingly, even with that little information, Google can supply the answer on the first page of results.)

Nope, on all three counts. Back in the days when my family had a C-band satellite dish, I used to watch CBC's broadcast of the BBC feed of F1 races. The coverage was better than ESPN, and I learned about zed, Tim Horton's coffee, CFL and Hockey Night.

OK, then, you're even weirder than any of the three scenarios I outlined: you're a North American who likes F1!

I like F1 myself. I miss Murray! Saw him walk past me in the (near-empty) grandstands at the very first F1 race I ever attended (the 1995 Pacific GP) and was so naive that I figured, "Oh, I'll just go up and talk to him next weekend at Suzuka." Yeah, right!

BTW, my judging scores were sent to DAYV last night.

That's me: too dumb for opera, too smart for NASCAR.

Woo-hoo! Bring on the results!

This means we will have our results before the oscars... along with the annual razzies ..whatever that means

And on a little sidenote: BLOODRAYNE is not nominated for razzies. I thought this one would be the overall winner. But maybe they don't pick Uwe Boll pictures there anymore, because he wins them all in a row, no competition.

Disc and cover looked a little too nice??? What was that supposed to mean

Send me your paypal address and i'll refund you the customs charges, I'm sure I recall filling out a form at the post office but it must have been misplaced, seems to have taken ages to get to you, probably due to customs opening the package

Hope you enjoyed watching the edit, hope the cover and disc didn't put you off!

Thanks for your kind offer, movie_rebel! In order for me to contact you, you've either got to turn PMs on (you appear to have accepted the default, which for this forum is OFF, strangely) or send me quick message to karyudo at gmail dot com.

My preference would actually be for e-mail, because as you'll soon learn, your PM box will hold only a total of 25 incoming and outgoing messages -- too few for many people, including me!
