I hear the Superman Returns theatrical teaser trailer is due out in November with the new Harry Potter film. The question: will die hard Superman fans pay to see this new Potter film just to see the trailer then leave or will they actually sit through the rest of the movie? I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

While I'm not a die-hard Supes fan, I am a huge comics fan. I will pay for the trailer, then leave. Although, it seems that after the first couple of days the sites like Dark Horizons and Apple seem like they get the trailers anyway.
let me get this straight, people will actually buy a movie ticket just to see a trailer ?!!!? Talk about wasting your money. I will not pay to see a commerical. When I buy a movie ticket, its because I want to see the movie. A 30 second commercial is not worth the price of a movie ticket.
Besides, I'm sure you could find the teaser online somewhere months before it comes out in theatres.

i remember going to see wing commabder just to see the Episode 1 trailer. Then when The Matrix came out, there was another trialer trailer that debuted. Fun times! I remember when I first watched the teaser trailer for TPM... It was broadcasted at a local movie cable station, at the same night it debuted in the movie theaters. It was aired only once, and I waited for like, 20 minutes for it to be shown... After it ended I KNEW it was going to be great, but... I swear, I felt something funny when I saw Jar Jar inside that submarine thing, for half a second...
The first time I saw the teaser trailer for AOTC, I downloaded a leak one day after it was shown in theaters, recorded in the movie theater with a camera... That leaked fast...
