Anyone who watched and liked the CBS/CW production Supergirl, no doubt had thinga about it they disliked too. And things they think could be emphasized more.
Well, this thread is about what i am looking change in a Miniseries-style edit of Supergirl. Each season will be broken down into mutiple episodes of around two episodes in length.
I’m working on my S1 run now and i’ve decided on the following things:
Episode 1 will combine a number of Kara’s childhood sequences from the season, the flashback portion of S3’s “Midvale”, and the majority of the first two episodes of S1 to create a Origins episode.
Other things i will do with my S1:
Cut the Kara/James romance, minimize Winn’s weird crushing on Kara, cut Adam completly, highlight Kara’s alienness, and attempt to manufacture exits for Lucy Lane and Maxwell Lord.
If anyone familar with the show has thoughts on how to create an exit for Lucy and Max, that’d be cool.
I’m also wondering if it would be possible to, for a later season, combine S1’s Bizarro with Red Daughter. Haven’t looked at the footage yet, but i’m imagining that s4 will have some of the most radical changes as i really hated the “Lex is manipulating Red Daughter” storyline, as it was just too derivative of Superman.
I’ll share clips and stuff as i go if folks are interested all.

I am definitely interested. I have not seen this in a while, but there were strong moments that were heavily dragged down by too much excess baggage (much like the counterpart CW shows)- such as the romance you are removing.
You have a tough task ahead as editing entire seasons of a show are much more challenging versus a movie. Best wishes.
Sounds cool. Good luck with this. All the Arrowverse/adjacent seasons should be cut down to that length…
