Awwww.... :-)
I laughed at the father in the end. :)
That's one of the best commercials I've seen in a long time. A long time.
Okay. I admit it. As jaded as I am about Star Wars now, that gave me quite a chuckle and a couple of warm fuzzies too. But just a couple.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
Wonderful!

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!
"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005
"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
Soo... what other commercials were worth watching?
Pirates 4 trailer?

All of the trailers were really teasy, no real anything. Sad really.

I thought the commercials in general were pretty bad. And the continued trend of using violence for cheap laughs is not impressing me. Unfortunately they keep getting made because they keep getting laughed at (if my family, minus me and my wife, are anything to judge by).

[insert gif of guy getting kicked in the junk, with the kicker labelled "005" and the kickee labelled "TV's"]
win.
You think you know me? I have no intention of posting a gif of you getting kicked in the groin.

(and that's exactly how I responded, by the way)
On-topic;
I thought the Chevy commercial where the truck keeps alerting the family to the little kid getting into trouble was hilarious.
"how'd you get in the belly of a whale!?"
That was a good one. The 'sprinkled' Doritos commercial made me laugh.
The transformers 3 trailer sucked. Not only did they show absolutely nothing, but the music was awful.
Pirates 4 will probably be at least a decent B grade Saturday matinee film with a budget that most A films don't get, lol.
I will see Transformers 3, but that does not mean i don't think it won't suck. Since i saw All three prequels of star wars, regardless of how bad episode 1 was. Guess i just enjoy watching crap genre flicks.
But not as much as i enjoy well made ones like the original star wars trilogy, or lord of the rings trilogy.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
I just saw the Bridestone tires one. I thought that one had some laughs.

The Bridgestone one was even better.

So did the Star Wars turn up again this year?

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.
