1st 2 movies were 18 rated here in uk (i think thats the equivalent to your NC-17)#
3rd movie was a 12 (equivalent to your R???? lol)

I am 17 years old. Even if I wasn't my dad is also a fan of the franchises and we will see it together. I am saying off screen violence and off screen nudity piss me off. Robocop was a franchise killed by the PG-13 rating. When you dumb down an R rated movie to PG-13 you always lessen the movie. Alien versus Predator PG-13 is the worst. I have read reviews stating we will get off screen chest bursting. Can you say fuck well the movie can't. The line "Your one ugly mothufucker" is my favorite movie line. I can't watch Arnold say that without smiling. Great lines like that are always absent in PG-13.

What I was pointing to in my earlier post was the fact that any rating below an R in the US is meaningless, since anyone can walk into a G, PG or PG-13 movie. Rating systems in Canada and other countries make much more sense. AvP will be rated 14A in Canada, which means that under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Many films the MPAA has rated R (including T3 and the Matrix movies) have been handed this rating, as have many PG-13 rated movies (Chronicles of Riddick, Starsky & Hutch and Scary Movie 3 come to mind). It all goes to the arbitrariness of the MPAA.

And AFAIK the f-word in PG-13 is limited to one, non-sexual use (IE Catch Me If You Can).
Who cares what the rating is? Just see the movie. If it's bad, it will be bad on its own account, not by how much gore is in it.

It means that under 12 you cannot be admitted without an adult......
As much as the idea of a slightly relaxed certificate appeals to me, it also PISSES me off no end!
All it means now is I sit through movies drowned out by screaming kids!
Parents now take their 1-4 year olds to see films like The Return Of The King................kid gets bored & starts screaming or running about!

I actually preferred it when it was a solid 12 rating......

Although I personally thought T3 was BETTER than T2
Why????? well it was good fun, offered a good explanation (IMO) as to how Skynet survived T2 & was still able to execute Judgement Day & had one hell of an ending - A very brave move that I felt worked EXTREMELY well!
Although Kristiannna Loken looked good she certainly wasn't enough of a reason to LOVE this movie (just before Jimbo pops in & says its the ONLY or MAIN reason this movie rocked....gasp a naked woman! Oh my! Never seen one of those before
